Focus of Lesson:pencil rolls log rolls

Student Performance Objectives (SPO)


By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
(C) identify at least 3 animal walks skill cues(1 for each) practiced in class and which one was most
difficult.

(P) identify and be able to demonstrate each animal walk in gymnastics lesson.

(A) travel in a safe manner and perform each movement with control during all portions of the lesson.

During the lesson the teacher will:


1. Give clear, concise instructions to students during all aspects of the lesson.
2. Emphasize safety to students, what safe means in each activity and its importance.
3. Give positive reinforcement for good behavior and check for understanding of classroom rules.

Special Considerations:

1. If an adaptive student needs an accomadation, I will speak to his/her aid for their
recommendation to better assist the students inclusion.

check for understanding by asking 2 students questions.

Address the boundaries of the lesson.

Transition: Students stand up, walk around the red boundary


and sit down on red line next to activity area. Check for
students following red line rules.

Fairy Godmother Tag

2 taggers, 2 fairy god parents


Can't tag the fairies
If tagged, the fairy must touch you with the
wand.
Address safety and understanding of rules with
students.

boundary and sit down on red line next to activity area. Check

Extra activity: kitties in the grass

Closure: review class objectives and key points.

demo.

Line students at door, moving them in small groups.
