Climate Change

Climate change is a global, growing issue that affects humanity and Earths future.

Mankind is primarily responsible for this downfall of the Earths atmosphere. Throughout

history, human activity has shown to cause a shift in climate at a rapid rate that's a negative

impact. Thesis

How Climate Change works/ Effects

The green house effect is the process where gases are trapped in the Earths atmosphere

causing global warming. The environment has already shown clear signs of climate change due

to the changing in weather. Not only is the global temperature rising, but the sea levels are

rapidly increasing in a small amount of time. Extreme weather and events are also evident factors

for climate change. A decreased amount of snow relates back to global warming which is climate

changes biggest conflict/factor. Effects that scientists had predicted in the past would result

from global climate change are now occurring: loss of sea ice, accelerated sea level rise and

longer, more intense heat waves (Climate.Nasa)

Historical evidence of Human Activity being the cause

There is a 95+ percent probability that human activity is the cause of climate change

(Climate change). Carbon dioxide gases has increased substantially in the past 50 years due to

human activity. Many scientific societies such as American Association for the Advancement of

Science, American Chemical Society, American Geophysical Union, etc., conclude that climate

change is human-induced (Climate.Nasa).

Rebuttal

While others may argue that the change in the sun is the result of climate change, there

are too many studies to counter act that. Sunspot records. also known as proxy indicators,

show long term information that concludes that it cant account for more than 10 percent of

global warming in the past century (Climate Nasa). Other arguments that argue that climate

change is not human-induced is that the Earth is simply too large to manipulate. While the Earth

is rather large, the rapid increase of industrialization, burning of fossil fuels, and use of natural

resources, the Earths atmosphere has been affected greatly.

Climate change has been a growing issue all over the world. While many people relate it

to political conflict, it is a very dangerous and serious problem. Because it is a human-induced

problem, more people should be aware of what they are doing when contributing to global

warming.
