This AP Calculus test was based on the basic fundamentals of Calculus, which lay the

foundation for the rest of the concepts in the class. No notes were available to use for the test, in

order to ensure that students had a full grasp of the concept without any references. The

assessment was a measure on a students capacity to retain information on the subject. 45

minutes were allotted for the test, which would seem like a lot of time for a few math problems,

but it was actually barely enough time for me to finish.

The most challenging part of the test was not having any resources such as notes to aid

me with information. The test consisted of two months of teaching, and even the smallest, most

minute details were required to be recalled in order to be successful on the test. Considering all

of these factors, I would consider my nigh-perfect score to be a great accomplishment.

This test has taught me the importance of being able to hold information and important

concepts in my head. More importantly, I learned that if I have the right motivation and put forth

the proper effort that I would be able to achieve things that are considered to be extremely

difficult.

I can transfer the skills I learned from this simple test to virtually any other application.

Almost every course in school revolves around the ability to retain information, so having

learned this from a math test is useful and it can be applied to classes with similar obstacles that

must be overcome.
