It is my sincere pleasure to have this opportunity to write to you on behalf of Amanda

Sky Ramos. She is a rare combination of solid intellect, good leadership abilities, and
mature cooperation skills. As Amandas teacher of two years, Ive had numerous
opportunities to observe and interact with her. I find her to be one of those unique young
people who are exemplary in her sense of respect, loyalty and accountability to both task
and people. I have much respect for her youthful integrity and determination.

Amanda thrives on challenges and competition among her classmates. She is not
afraid to ask tough questions, nor continue questioning until she has a clear
understanding. I have observed her in cooperative learning activities assigning tasks,
collecting and digesting information, formulating and implementing plans among her
peers. She is not afraid to voice an unpopular view and is very persuasive in her
arguments; often she finds allies among classmates who originally held opposite views.

Amanda is very active at Westminster High School and is enrolled and involved in our
own AVID program and has been for her entire time here. She is also a member of the
Senior class committee, and played softball for two years, earning most improved and
coaches award.

Amanda has diligently prepared herself for college and future endeavors. I honestly
believe that Amanda is one of the finest of all young people that I have had the pleasure
of working with in my 18 years as an educator. Her scholastic abilities, work ethic,
personality, and leadership skills ensure her success as a productive applicant to
University. It is without reservation that I strongly recommend Amanda. If you have any
