VICE PRESIDENT, PRODUCT TECHNOLOGY
In charge of Quality Assurance, Research & Development, regulatory compliance, and leading the
continuous improvement team. Directly involved in IP and patent protection, business development
and sales support.
Research efforts yielded over 20 patents granted, and 12 more currently being prosecuted in the food,
packaging, and medical fields.
Instrumental in changing the direction of the company to an innovative organization, focused on value
added products. 60% of products sold today did not exist in 2004.
Company was sold in November 2016 for 11.5 times EBIDTA after a 3-fold increase in sales; value
obtained through the combined effects of new active products, cost reduction, increased efficiency, and
new market penetration.
Active support to sales efforts in the US and around the world led to open new markets in Europe,
South America and Asia.
Expansion of product lines beyond food to include medical and military industries.
First absorbent pad company to achieve Global Food Safety Initiative (BRC) Certification.

COMPLEX QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
Managed Quality, Food Safety and Customer Support operations for multi-plant complex; responsible
for 200m lbs. annual production of foods including fresh, frozen, and ready-to-eat products.
Developed and implemented the Pathogen Prevention Steering Committee to address pathogen
contamination on production floor. Effort resulted in timely, full compliance with new regulations.
Implemented reformulation of entire product line to include the use of bacteriostatic agents to improve
food safety in the RTE line.
Established departmental goals for both facilities, and put in place monitoring systems to ensure goals
were achieved consistently.
Administered $2-million budget and staff of 48.
