 Conclusion

As the FBM KLCI sustained at above the 10-day SMA (1,337), the short-term trading
sentiment should stay upbeat.

Given the positive short-term chart indicators, upward momentum may accelerate if
the index manages to remove 1,350.

But, as the weak 10-week SMA displays risk of falling below the 40-week SMA, the
index’s medium-term outlook remains uncertain.

Without removing 1,350, the risk will remain for a possible Head & Shoulders or even
a bearish “Double Top” Formation. Its medium-term support is seen at 1,300.

As the index has reclaimed its long-term UTL, long-term outlook has turned positive.

Key long-term support is at 1,150, while bearish confirmation level is at 980 – 1,000.

However, in our opinion, the short-term market sentiment will still be influenced by the
regional markets volatilities, including the rapid funds flow in the currencies and
commodities markets.

Domestically, factors like the M&A activities, construction and election plays will
continue to drive trading interests in months to come.
