INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone, my name is Dani and today well be asking

the question, What is JoJos Bizarre Adventure?. In this
video, Ill be explaining each part of JoJos Bizarre
Adventure and giving you my opinion why you should watch it.
Which you should. Its great. Anyhoo, WITH BIG SPOILERS
AHEAD, lets jump right in.

OVERVIEW JJBA

As a brief introduction to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, it is a

Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hirohiko
Araki. It was originally serialized in Weekly Shnen Jump
from 1987 to 2004 before being transferred to the monthly
seinen magazine Ultra Jump in 2005. It is currently split
into 8 different parts that all follow the Joestar bloodline
at different points in multiple universes. In short, each
protagonist has the nickname of JoJo and they also go on
Bizarre Adventures. What? Its in the title?

OVERVIEW - Phantom Blood

Starting with Phantom Blood, the story set in England in

1880, follows the story of Jonathan Joestar as he matures
with his evil adoptive brother, Dio Brando, whos main goal
is to replace Jonathan as heir to the Joestar family.
Through many years of torture (one of which being him just
straight up burning Jonathans dog alive) and making
Jonathan feel as if hes worthless, Dio sets out to complete
his main goal, which is going rather great for him, go Dio.

Soon enough, Dios attempts are put to a stop after his real
plans were discovered and he resorts to using an ancient
Stone Mask which transforms him into a vampire. He then runs
away, goes into hiding and begins his plot for World
Domination.

Jonathan is then soon trained by William Anthonio Zeppeli in

the vibrant energy of the Ripple or more commonly known as

Hamon, which is wielded in the human body and transferred

in hand-to-hand combat. With both William and former street
thug Robert E.O. Speedwagon at his side, Jonathan sets out
to put a stop to Dios antics once more.

In short, Dio wants the Joestar fortune, Jonathan says no

thats bad, Dio turns into a vampire, tries to kill
everyone and take over, Jonathan finds him and tells him,
no thats even more bad and then takes him down. However,
Dios head was recovered by one of his minions, which then
leads to Dio defeating Jonathan and taking over his body so
that he can continue his reign.

OVERVIEW Battle Tendency

Moving along, the second part in the series is called Battle

Tendency, which sees Jonathan's grandson, Joseph Joestar
continue the never ending bizarre adventure that takes
places in the days leading up to the Second World War in
1938.

Soon enough, Joseph becomes entangled in his grandfather's

destiny when the Pillar Men, supernatural beings of
impossible power, awaken after failed experiments by Nazi
German special forces.

Joseph ultimately teams up with Caesar Zeppeli, Will's

grandson who is also a Ripple user, and Caesar's teacher
Lisa Lisa, a woman mysteriously tied to Joseph, to stop the
Pillar Men from obtaining a mystical artifact in Lisa Lisa's
possession that will grant them complete immortality and
bring about the end of the world at their hands.

OVERVIEW Stardust Crusaders

Stardust Crusaders is set in 1989 as Joseph's 17 year-old

grandson Jotaro Kujo, a delinquent Japanese high school
student, places himself in jail because he believes he is
possessed by an evil spirit. Which it just turns out,
theres a new supernatural power thrown into the JoJo
universe called Stands.

Basically, A Stand is an entity psychically generated by its

proprietor, generally referred to as a Stand User. It is
viewed as a physical manifestation of the User's fighting
spirit, and can be used for both bad and good.

Moving swiftly along, Jotaro journeys along with Joseph,

Muhammad Avdol, Noriaki Kakyoin, Jean Pierre Polnareff, and
Iggy from Tokyo to Cairo in order to fight DIO who has
returned from the depths of the sea and save his mother from
DIO's mystical influence. All the above also have stands, to
which they fight the bad guys. Go figure.

The gang find DIO, tell him no this is still bad, chaos
ensues, and finally once more, stop him in his tracks.

Originally, the creator, Hirohiko Araki wanted to end the

series here, but decided not to. Hurray. *confetti*

OVERVIEW Diamond is Unbreakable

Bringing us now to the fourth part in the franchise, Diamond

is Unbreakable is set in the fictional town of Morioh,
Japan, in 1999. Jotaro arrives to reveal to our 16-year-old
main protagonist, Josuke Higashikata, that he is the
illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar and to warn him that
Morioh is beginning to be filled with Stand users due to a
mystical Bow and Arrow that bestows Stands on those struck
by it

After Josuke takes revenge on a Stand user who killed his

grandfather, he agrees to help Jotaro hunt down the holder

of the Bow and Arrow.

The allies in this part consist of Josuke's friend Koichi

Hirose, who is hit by the arrow, Okuyasu Nijimura, whose
brother was using the Arrow until it was stolen from him,
the famous manga artist Rohan Kishibe, and even Josukes own
estranged father Joseph Joestar.

Along the way, the group deals with the various new Stand
users throughout Morioh, including several of Josuke,
Koichi, and Okuyasu's classmates, until the death of one of
their friends leads to the discovery that one of the new
Stand users is the serial killer, Yoshikage Kira.

OVERVIEW Vento Aureo

Vento Aureo, set in Italy 2001, follow the story of DIO's

15-year-old son Giorno Giovanna. But Dani wait, if hes
DIOs son, how if he classed as a JoJo? Well, simply put,
whilst Dio was in control of Jonathans body, it was still
Jonathans body when Dio fiddled another woman, thus leading
to both the genes of Dio and Jonathan to mix. And voila,
Giorno was made.

Giorno fights his way to the top of Passione, the most

powerful gang in Italy, as he plots to overthrow the gang's
mysterious Boss in order to protect the civilian populace
from the gang's drug trade.

To do so he cooperates with gang member Bruno Bucciarati and

his own team of Leone Abbacchio, Guido Mista, Pannacotta
Fugo, and Narancia Ghirga as they are tasked with protecting
the Boss' daughter Trish Una from a traitor assassin team La
Squadra di Esecuzione.

OVERVIEW Stone Ocean

Stone Ocean is set in 2012 and follows Jotaro's estranged

daughter Jolyne Cujoh, as she is framed for murder and
imprisoned in Green Dolphin Street Jail.

Jotaro visits her and reveals that she has been set up in

order for one of Dio's disciples to kill her within the

prison. After revealing that a gift he gave her has awoken
her latent Stand powers to protect her, he is attacked, and
both his Stand and memories are stolen from him by the
prison chaplain Enrico Pucci, Dio's disciple.

Jolyne works with fellow inmate Ermes Costello, who has also
had a Stand awoken in her, to retrieve her father's Stand,
gaining allies such as a young boy named Emporio, other
inmates Narciso Anasui and Weather Report, and the Stand-
using plankton (yes, plankton) Foo Fighters to save her
father and stop Pucci before he can use his Stand to
recreate the universe in Dio's image.

I wont go into too much detail about the ending of this

part, but it is one of the most tragic endings to any part
of this series and still is to date.

OVERVIEW Steel Ball Run

In an alternate timeline and universe in 1890, Gyro Zeppeli

travels to the United States to take part in a cross-country
horse race known as the Steel Ball Run.

His skill in a mystical martial art known as Spin, which he

controls with steel balls, garners the interest of former
jockey turned paraplegic Johnny Joestar, particularly after
a Spin-infused ball briefly restores Johnny's ability to
walk.

Johnny travels with Gyro on the race to learn the art of

Spin from him in hopes he can be cured, but they soon
discover that the race is a ploy set up by Funny Valentine,
the President of the United States, to search the country
for the scattered parts of a holy corpse (yes, jesus body
parts) that imbue their holders with a Stand, so the
President can use the entire corpse to his own patriotic
ends, even if it means the disruption of other dimensions
with his Stand's ability.

Gyro and Johnny work together, along with fellow racers

Mountain Tim and Hot Pants and race organizer Stephen Steel

and his wife Lucy, to stop the President from his plans, as
they threaten the very world, all while dealing with
Valentine's hired assassins in the race, including the
charismatic racer Diego Brando, the alternate universe Dio
Brando who is also a dinosaur. Hurray?

OVERVIEW JoJolion/Present Day

Finally, leading up to the most recent part of JoJos

Bizarre Adventure, set in the same universe as Steel Ball
Run, the town of Morioh has been devastated by the 2011
Thoku earthquake and tsunami, which has caused mysterious
faults also known as the "Wall Eyes" to appear in town.

Local college student Yasuho Hirose is near one of the Wall

Eyes when she discovers a young man buried in the rubble,
and a strange bite mark on him. She nicknames him "Josuke",
as he cannot remember his own name.

Josuke is put in the care of the Higashikata family, whose

patriarch Norisuke seems to know more about Josuke than he
initially lets on. Josuke and Yasuho ultimately discover
that Josuke is in fact Yoshikage Kira, mysteriously fused
with another person, and Yoshikage Kira possessed the
knowledge to cure a curse that has plagued the Higashikata
family for centuries.

This part is still ongoing, so the story has not concluded

yet, but this is by far one of the most complex and bizarre
parts of the franchise.

WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH IT

So, after boringly going through the series, why should you
watch JoJos Bizarre Adventure? Well, as a longtime fan of
the series and being heavily involved with the community,
there are endless reasons to why you should experience it
yourself. If you love action, adventure, weird and heavily
interesting concepts, or just a fun thing to watch or read,
then this series is definitely one to check out. Personally,
its a great series to experience and is my favorite
franchise of all time in any medium.
