PL7 Installation on Windows 7 (64 bit)

First Install XP mode from windows 7 support website

Then Install windows virtual PC, you can find the installation procedure in the above link.
After that Run Windows XP Mode.

1. In Windows 7, click the Start button , click All Programs, click Windows Virtual PC, and then
click Windows XP Mode.
2. In Windows XP Mode, insert the program's installation disc into your computer's CD/DVD drive; or
browse to the program's installation file, open the file, and follow the instructions to install the
program.

When PL7 is installed you can see the installed software in the list as shown below:
To Configure Unitelway Driver and TSXPX3030 cable in XP Mode follow the following
procedure.

1. Connect the TSXPX3030 cable to the laptop USB port


2. At the top of the windows desktop you will see a blue bar, click USB and a drop down box will
appear.
Click attach.
3. Click start, right click my computer, click properties and then device manager, click com ports and
the cable should be visible there on com 1.
4. Double click the cable on com port 1 and a new window will open, click port settings, and change
the settings to these:
Bits per second = 9600
Data bits = 8
Parity = odd
Stop bits = 1
Flow control = none
5. Click advanced and change the settings to these (Optional):
Use flow buffers = unticked
Com port number = com 1 (any com port available).
6. The cable is now installed correctly and using the right connection settings.
7. Now click start, all programs, Schneider electric, communication drivers and then drivers
manager.
8. A new window will open, click unitelway driver and then configuration, a new window will open,
click edit and another window will open.
9. Within this window you will see 3 tabs unitelway, line parameters and advanced, change the
settings in these tabs to these:
Com port = 1 (com port on which cable is connected)
unitelway slave address = base 1 numbers 3
Baud rate = 9600
Self-adaption = unticked
Data bits = 8
Parity = odd
Stop bits = 1
RTC/TX delay = unticked
Link type = unitelway
num plc = unticked
Link timeout = - 1
RX/TX delay = - 1
Force virtual com port = ticked
10. Click ok and then apply and the unitelway driver will reset itself
11. Plug the cable into the terminal and click connect to PLC within PL7 PRO and it should connect.
