4 Installation

4.1 Installation of Hotfix 8 for STEP 7 V5.5 SP4

Prerequisite for the installation of this Hotfix is an existing installation of STEP 7 V5.5 SP4.

Due to the fact that your PLC/PC must be restarted after the installation in order to completely enter

all system variables, please close all applications (STEP 7, MS Word etc

)

before starting the setup.

Start the file "*.exe" of Hotfix 8 for STEP 7 V5.5 SP4. The files will then be copied to the PLC/PC and entries will be made in MS Windows files. Operating instructions will be given to you during setup. The drive onto which you install Hotfix 8 for STEP 7 V5.5 SP4 will be determined by the installed STEP 7 version.
