1.-Do you think people consume too much these days? Are most peoples lifestyles
sustainable? Why or why not?

Yes, I believe that we live in a really consumer society. We want to earn lots of money to buy lots of
things. Some of them, necessaries but lots of them unnecessaries. Because, the real problem is
we always want more. For example, If we live in a big flat, we want a big house or firstly, we want
only a car, but when we have a car for driving everywhere, we want one faster and more modern.
I really guess, that in Europe and in America, most people buy lots of stuff that they really dont
need for live, and our lifestyle is not sustainable because we are exhausting the natural resources
making lots of products that we really dont need like products made of petrol or plastic.

2.- Do you think a system of bartering could work in your community? Or would it threaten
some peoples livelihoods?

I believe that in small villages, the system of bartering have always existed because when you have
a surplus of food like eggs of your chickens or fruits, you give up your neighbor like a present and
then, they make the same. However, nowadays, in the big cities people are hugely busy and they
usually dont know their neighbor, consequently the system of bartering would be impossible.
3.- If you were taking part in an experiment in living without money, would you prefer to
forage for naturally growing food, or look in skips for food people have thrown away?
Which method would be more successful?

Definitely, if I were taking part in an experiment in living without money, I would prefer to forage for
naturally growing food. In fact, I really love cultivating food in my garden and in each season, I
really enjoy taking wild mushrooms, blackberries or other kind of stuff. I really guess, that when you
cultivate your food, you thrown away less food than when you buy it.

4.- In both sweatshops and factory farms, goods are produced using intensive methods,
and people or animals suffer. Why does this happen, and do you think it is justified? What,
if anything, should be done about it?

I think that for some people, money and power are both of the most important things in their lives.
And they dont mind if other citizens or animals are suffering. I guess that these intensive methods
must be forbidden. However, exists lots of corrupt governments which allow it.
