Carelton Comets Murder

Investigators: Tara Shotz, Lara Glendening, Augi Soto, and

Connor Moylan
Fingerprints
Conclusion:

This is Nancy Normals fingerprint.

Evidence: The fingerprint found at the

scene (above) and Nancy
Normals print (below) match
It matched the fingerprint of Nancy Normal
because it had the same shape (arch) and the
same pattern of ridges.
Chromatography

Conclusion:

1) Pen #2 wrote the note*

Evidence:

1) Pen #2s Rf factor was 0.95, the same Rf factor as

the notes ink

2) The shape, length, and color match the note.

* Pen #2 was Nancy Normals pen

Hair samples
Conclusion: The unknown hair (left) has the
same characteristics as the human
The unknown hair matched with the human hair hair (right)

Evidence:

They both were thick

Had a split in the middle
Had the same color
Blood types
Claim: The blood on the knife (sample crime scene 2)
belongs to Nancy Normal, Theresa Terra, or Glen Glee.

Procedure: We put 20 drops of blood into two dishes.

Then we added Antigen-A into one dish and Antigen-B
into another. From there we were able to conclude the
blood type because Antigen-A clumping means the
blood type was A and so on.

Evidence: Crime Scene Two (possible killers blood found

at scene) was Type A and Nancy, Glen, and Theresa
were also type A
DNA fingerprinting
Conclusion:

CS1 was Carelton Comet and CS2 was Nancy Normal

A photo of our gel (above)
Evidence: and a clearer diagram of
the patterns (below)

We inserted different 15 microliter DNA samples into the eight

wells and ran gel electrophoresis on them at 140 volts. After it
was done, the DNA formed bands. The banding pattern on well 6
(CC) matches CS1. The pattern on well 3 (NN) matches CS2.

Sam Sophomores DNA also matches CS1, but Carelton Comet was the one who
was stabbed by the knife, so it was most likely his DNA.
Pedigrees
Conclusion:

Fred Flimmer has Marfans disease. Glen Glee and Sam Sophomore have
Huntington's disease. Nancy Normal has both diseases.

Evidence:

Fred Flimmer is tall, slender, and double-jointed, which are signs of Marfans.
Everyone else had ancestors with the diseases, and since they are both
dominant, they will be passed down through every generation.

In Addition:

Nancy Normals aunt was married to Carelton Comet. Fred Flimmers sister
and aunt were murdered by Comet.
Karyotypes
Conclusion:

CS1 is Carelton Comets karyotype and

CS2 is Nancy Normals.
CS2 (below) and
Nancy Normals
CS1 (below) and Evidence: karyotype (above)
Carelton Comets
match.
karyotype (above)
match. The CS1 karyotype had XYY syndrome, and
Carelton Comet was the only other one
with that syndrome. CS2 had XXX
syndrome, and Nancy Normal was the only
one with XXX syndrome.
Conclusion
The murderer was.Nancy Normal!!!!

We ask for a warrant for the arrest of Nancy Normal on charges of first degree murder.

Blood type confirmed her as one of 3 key suspects

DNA fingerprinting confirmed her as the key suspect
Fingerprints matched
Karyotype matched
Chromatography matched her pen
Motive
All though we have not gotten a confession for motive or murder, we assume the motive had
something to do with her family history

Before Carelton Comet went to jail and changed his name, he was known as Thomas
Sandstone.
He had an affair with Nancys aunt.
After their child was murdered, Nina (the aunt) was institutionalized for severe
depression.
Nancy may blame Comet for this.
She also loves Fred Flimmer
Thomas Sandstone murdered Freds aunt and his sister. This could be an ulterior
motive.
Nancy also has Huntingtons Disease which is known to cause hallucinations
