Monday Your lesson introductions are going really well-
21/11 they are nice and quick which is important,
especially in prep when it can be hard to focus
for longer than 15 minutes and you explain
the task and the learning intention well. You
can get the students to repeat the learning
intention so that they completely understand
why they are doing the activities and what
they are learning by doing them.
You are questioning the students well and
making them expand on their thinking.
During reading you were able to conference a
couple of students during read to self- just
continue to keep an eye on students reading
independently to ensure they are focusing and
practicing the reading strategy.
Although writing was cut short you still
managed to complete a successful lesson.
Refer back to the VCOP wall regulary so that
students apply questions with using them in
writing.
Your math rotations were good and all
students were really engaged- you monitored
student behaviour and noise level really well-
stopping them halfway through to explain the
expectations again was great. If you find
students are completing their activities quickly
you can get them to record their work in their
books. E.g doggy bones- write equation and
answer in books- this way you can keep track
of how many they have done in the given
time.
Challenges? What went well? Adaptations
The morning sessions (reading and writing) did not Discussion was held

I had another issue with behaviour today. I gave
warnings but the student was unresponsive. With
the assistance of my supervising teacher I was able
to enforce expectations and implement
consequences for the behaviour. These steps
include giving a verbal warning, writing name on
the board, putting a tick under their name and then
sending them to the office. I also have the ability to
get the student to go to the library at lunch time to
complete the work they missed out on because of
their behaviour. This is something that I will keep
implementing throughout my lessons.

The students in my class have a bad habit of not
pushing their chairs in. This has caused one of the
teachers to trip over. So I am starting to implement
a management strategy to get the
