PERSPECTIVE PLAN
(For The Next Five Years)

Vision: To accomplish academic excellence in the field of

computer science and engineering, providing quality education
and research for the development of society and nation.

Mission: To cultivate, share, and apply knowledge in computer

science and interdisciplinary areas as well to inculcate
professional, moral, social and ethical values in students to cope
with challenges of the modern world.

1. In the years to come, there will be increasing demand of skilled

manpower in the domain of computer science and engineering
because of the Digital India mission projected across the globe by
the Government of India. With the aim of imparting relevant,
essential, upgraded knowledge to the young aspirants in the field
of computer science and engineering including computer
applications, CCSIT would prepare them to acquire essential
knowledge about technological skills that allow them to
independently conceptualize, design, develop and implement
computer applications fulfilling the software demand of the
corporate world. For this, the college adopts effective teaching
methodologies by updating curriculum periodically. Eminent
academicians, renowned scientists and researchers are invited to
share their knowledge with students during seminars, workshops
and conferences, supported by competent and experienced core
faculty members. These good practices would be maintained and
strengthened further.

2. CCSIT would impart knowledge and develop critical skills

necessary to succeed both in professional and personal life by
promoting learning supported by world-class faculty,
infrastructure, technology, curricula and collaborative teaching
and research with premier institutions in India and abroad. It would
encompass a national and international viewpoint into teaching,
research and consultancy.

3. CCSIT would enhance faculty development by promoting

research activities and tie-ups with foreign universities for PDF or
some other such projects. The faculty members would be asked to
publish research papers at least one in international journal and
one in national journal of repute in a year. The college would be
increasing maximum number of Ph.D. faculty members by
providing them all possible facilities. It would conduct a faculty
development program during the winter/summer vacation.

4. The college would develop its teaching learning process by

adopting recent pedagogies like NPTEL and ICT, etc. Faculty
members would carry out at least one NPTEL online program in
their classes especially for pre-final and final year students. They
would accomplish one knowledge enhancement program under
MOOC in each semester. They would motivate the final year
students to complete one MOOC program during the year. The
college would organise programs for skilling the youth for the
corporate needs.

5. The college would try for Accreditation of top IT companies like

TCS, Wipro and other such eminent bodies. It would try, also, for
some projects funded by U.G.C., A.I.C.T.E. or D.R.D.O. It would be
seeking on campus higher recruitment of its students by renowned
companies or government establishments.

6. CCSIT would develop its lab updated with mobile and cloud
based technology.

7. The college would establish foreign language center for learning

English and other foreign languages to improve linguistic
competence of students and faculty members through their
sufficient exposure to the target language in a well equipped
language lab.

8. The college would also establish a research lab for enhancing

the knowledge of the learners in computer science for further
exploration.

9. The college would motivate its students for participating in

extracurricular, i.e. sports, and social activities to the greater
extent. It would provide them with ample opportunities to develop
sportsmanship and love for culture and national heritage.

10. CCSIT would bring transparency and accountability in its

operations. It would place itself as a catalyst for social change. It
would nurture entrepreneurial capabilities to accelerate growth.
11. CCSIT would be taking Admissions through combined entrance
examination.

12. CCSIT would endeavour to make Teerthanker Mahaveer

University a preferred destination for world class education and
knowledge.
