DISNEY DRESS UP DAY

Friday 26th May
Next Friday is Disney Day! I love Disneyland Paris so I am really looking
forward to Disney Dress Up Day and raffle. On Friday next week please
come to school wearing anything Disney. It could be a full costume or just
a T-shirt, as long as it has a Disney theme. Please bring in at least 1 for
wearing your outfit. For all children, from Reception to Year 8, every 1
you bring in will get you a raffle ticket so if you bring in 2 then you will
get two raffle tickets and so on (nursery children are welcome to dress
up but unfortunately they are unable
to enter the raffle). All money raised
will go to our chosen charity, The
Royal National Childrens Foundation.
What can you win? From my last trip
to Disneyland Paris I brought back
prizes of a Disneyland Paris Mickey
Mouse Throw, a Pluto soft toy and a
Disneyland Paris 2017 Photo Album.
Good luck!
Miss Fox.

SEVERNSIDE ATHLETICS at BEAUDESERT PARK
A great afternoon at a windy Beaudesert saw our 43 athletes competing determinedly in a wide range
of track and field events. All were a credit to themselves and Tockington Manor. Congratulations on
their efforts and the dozens of personal bests achieved.

The highlight of the meeting was Kaya Priove (Year 5) winning 3 events: the U11 Girls 800m, U11
Girls 100m B Race and the Long Jump. Kaya broke the meeting record for the 800m in a fabulous
2m 57.62s. The U12 Boys relay team (Ben Jacobi, Harry Mather, Jai Patel and Logan Fitzpatrick)
ran superbly to win their event.
Other victorious athletes were Jacob Wakeling (U12 Javelin), Ben Jacobi (U12 100m), Otis Walker
(U13 800m), Logan Fitzpatrick (U12 800m), Freddie Cooper (U13 1500m), Harry Mather (U12 100m
B Race), Barney Bishop (U10 200m B Race) and Peter Banks (U13 100m B Race).
A most successful day with numerous podium finishes, and an excellent effort from everyone.

ALMONDSBURY 5KM FUN RUN

A good turnout from the pupils at TMS. The annual
event across a testing, multi-terrain course provided
a great challenge for the 250 or so runners.
The leading runners all had a connection with the
school and it was a fabulous effort from everyone
involved.
Dalis Jones won the race, just ahead of her Yate
coach, pursued by Ceredig Jones (first boy) and
Oliver Gill who beat his bitter rival, his dad, and Mr
Allan-Jones.
Mr Perez won the 10km race in impressive style with
an excellent display of front running ahead of the
Kenyan athletes!
