Walt Disneys impact on American culture
He is one of the people who changed American Culture forever. His defining
moments were within the years of 1900s to 2000s. He is Walt Disney. Walt Disney was
the pioneer of his time. He gave people something to remember by creating Mickey
Mouse, movies like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and financial hits like Mary
Poppins. This had an incredible impact on American Culture. Walt Disney had a
tremendous impact on American Culture during the 1900s through the fame and
Walt Disney captured the attention of America with his classics. For instance,
Disneys place in the American panorama is secure. His classic works are regularly
reissued in cinemas, a Disney Channel and other television productions keep his name
every day(DiMeglio). Walt Disney has affected the population of the 1900s in more
ways than one through his movies, and Television shows. All the things he did changed
America and the changes he makes doesnt end there. The fantastic success of
Disneyland and the later Walt Disney World (1971) in Florida stood as final testimony to
Disneys courage and vision. (DiMeglio). Before Walt Disney Eventually dies he
creates a theme park in his image. This Theme park spreads his name across America.
Walt Disney appealed to the masses worldwide in a new way. Disney in many
ways was Everyperson. He did not cater as much to a mass public as to his own taste,
which was clearly reflective of conservative American ideals. When he aimed to please
the public, his objective was to entertain, to amuse, to bring smiles to his consumers,
rather than to propagandize (DiMeglio). He changes American Culture deeply by
capturing the attention of the masses in his own unique way. By breaking the mold,
Disney has made himself apart of American Culture through his innovations.
The foundation of Disneys company was the creation of his cartoons and his
fame immortalized him. After Disney's death on December 15, 1966, the studio's
fortunes varied but have markedly improved since the late 1970s. Under the banner of
(1984) and The Color of Money (1987)... (American History - Walt Disney). What
makes his impact to American Culture so great is with the help of his company. An
ebullient tribute to the achievements of Disney and his contemporaries, the film's
animation won a Special Academy Award. The studio's pure animation impulse was
revitalized with The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992),
The Lion King (1994), Pocahontas (1995), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996),
Hercules (1997), and Mulan (1998), and it pioneered the art of computer animation in
Toy Story (1995), A Bug's Life (1998), and Toy Story 2 (1999). (American History - Walt
Disney). Thanks to Disneys company Walt Disney made a long lasting mark on
Walt Disney has permanently created his place in American Culture with his
company. His Cartoons, classics and fame lasted longer than he thought was possible.
The 1900s entertainment was changed by Walt Disney and his impact on American
