Research Paper Outline

Introduction
Kehlani Ashley Parrish is an American R&B singer/dancer who is currently
General signed with Athletic Records at 22 years old.
Background

In my eyes Kehlani is one of the most inspirational singer/dancer that i know

Thesis of. She relates so hard to many young people and even adults all through her
music and real life experiences.

Body Paragraph #1
Topic How she got started.

Research In the earlier days you wouldn't even believe Kehlani is who she is right now.
Information She was so much different back in the days when she was younger when
with In-text she first got started in music. Kehlani was a misfit tomboy, she tried with a
Citation group on America's Got Talent but turned out she was good without the
group. It took her six years to transform into the girly-girl woman she is now.
R&B singer Kehlani Parrish as the baby-faced tomboy and lead singer of a
misfit boyband that once tried their luck on America's Got Talent. The then-
judge Piers Morgan said she didn't need the group and he was right: six
years on, she's scrubbed up into a foxy, tattoo-laden starlet whose candid
narratives about her love life and homage to Nineties R&B earned one of her
mixtapes a Grammy nomination last year. (MATILDA EGERE-COOPER)

Body Paragraph #2
Topic Her experiences

Research Kehlani has been through more than people may think. Many know about a
Information recent event when she attempted suicide on herself. That is just one of the
with In-text many things she has had to go through before the age of 22. On Tuesday,
Citation R&B singer Kehlani posted a photo to Instagram of herself in a hospital bed
with an IV in her arm. She admitted she tried to commit suicide, writing,
"today I wanted to leave this earth . . . But God saved me for a reason, and
for that, I must be grateful." (Ballin)

Body Paragraph #3
Topic Her impact today.

Research Kehlanis music today touches her events trying to help other relate or help
Information people who are going through the same things she is or has in the past. Her
with In-text music is inspiring to people all around, she want to help and let others know
Citation their not alone. Letting them know the jokes they make about themselves
are know to be real and they can get help for them. She writes expressing
her feelings and the way she thinks cause she knows someone out there
needs to hear what she has to say. It's just sad because I see it every day. I
go on Twitter and I literally see girls posting a picture of one of the Jenners
and writing something like, "OMG, my self-esteem is gone," or "Bye, I'm
going to go kill myself now." It comes out like a joke but it definitely didn't
stem from joking emotions. People really think like that. I also look at it from
a personal standpoint of things that upset me and made me feel like I wasn't
worthy of things growing up. I didn't look like everyone else -- I had all these
tattoos -- and was told I wasn't going to make it. I felt like the only way to get
it across was through song. (Asulin)

Conclusion
Why is this Kehlani is worthy because she is just so inspirational to females and males
person/event all around the world at all ages. Whether you've been through the same
noteworthy? rough times as her, or are going through the sames things or even just know
someone going through them. Kehalani shows that you really can't judge a
book by it's cover cause you never know what theyre really going through or
feeling in that moment. Her music lyrics open so many minds and souls and
they help people so much to understand and love better cause everyone
needs to hear the other ways that people may/do think.
