G2R Strategies to Minimize Dropouts in Peneraju Skil Iltizam Cellular

Tower Technician Program

A persons personality is defined as a set of traits that can explain or


predict a persons behaviour in a variety of situations. In other words, personality
is a set of characteristics that reflect the way a person think and act in a given
situation. Because of this, the personality has a lot to do with how we relate to
one another at work.

How we think, what we feel, and our normal behaviour characterize what
our colleagues come to expect of us both in behaviour and the expectation of
their interactions with us. The important thing to remember about attitudes is
that they can change over time, but usually some sort of positive experience
needs to occur for our attitudes to change dramatically for the better.

In order to minimize dropouts, G2R is looking at top five reasons dropouts


identify as major factors for failing in school as guidelines:

G2R will apply Seven (7) strategies to deal with the issues:

1. Appoint an in-house Program Counsellor


There will be a dedicated counsellor to counsel the students. His or her
main roles is to motivate students and help them with personal or work
issues. The F2F session will take place during the 2.5 months training.
During the monitoring stage, the counsellor will apply online counselling
(WhatsApp and Facebook) and from time to time he or he will consult the
students at work.

2. Partner with Parents


During registration day, G2R will invite parents for a special briefing. Here
G2R will promote G2R-Parents partnership and both parties can work
together to build the students career. G2R will also create WhatsApp
group to update parents on training and work activities so that parents
are aware what the students are getting through and how parents must
support G2R and keep their children on track.

3. Cultivate Relationships
G2R will apply in-house couching and mentoring program. G2R will engage
qualified trainers to run work improvement programs and utilize our in-
house supervisors to become mentor for the students.

4. Pay Attention to Warning Signs


G2R supervisors will be trained to read signs if a students started to show
negative attitudes or indication of them leaving the program. G2R will
seek our counsellor and HR to deal with the student.

5. Make Career Relevant


G2R will conduct periodic training programs to open the students mind
about their career in G2R. This is important because to eliminate the
students from assuming their career in G2R as a dead-end job.

b. Entrepreneurship

6. Raise the Opportunity Bar


G2R from time to time will identify the best students. These students will
be groom into future team leader. A special training programs will be
provided to them on:
a. Leadership skills
b. Teamwork skills
c. Managing team conflict

7. Develop a Community Plan


G2R will adopt a community plan so that students will feel they are a part
of something big.
a. Best employer of the month
b. Family day or Team escapade
c. Talents day
