With reference to application dated 14.04.2017 ***CPIO reply


Ref:CO/RTI/AAD/00248 dated 15.05.2017

(1). Number of alleged corrupt officials in the Public Sector Insurance


Companies and the number of officials among them who are not placed under
suspension.

CPIO reply: Omitted by the CPIO probably under presumption that corruption
itself is a vague term not defined.

Appeal: The CPIO cannot ignore corruption, the applicant feels the object of RTI is
to enable an ordinary citizen to bring out irregularities that amount to corruption.

(2). Number of Hindi Translators in Public Sector Insurance Companies.

CPIO reply:. In LIC there is no separate designation.

Comment:- the applicant appreciates the CPIO reply.

(3). The applicant is dismissed on the following charges:- The act of Mr. Shri Gopal
Soni leaving Headquarters repreatedly without permission of competent autyority
amounts to his gross (grave) violation of Company rules which is not expected
from a public servant (Company Personnel).. Information of any other employee
being punished on grave charges of leaving Headquarters in the insurance
sector. CPIO reply:. The details are not maintained as a record.
Hence the information cannot be provided.

Appeal:- we are one of the most corrupt nations in Asia, those who seek
information under RTI are either dead or dismissed, Keeping with the spirit of
transparency & accountability it is requested that information be not suppressed
under any pretext and the same be disclosed.
