1) What are the things to do when you want to park the A/C?

Make sure that the flight control surfaces are retracted and THS at 2 degrees. If necessary, refuel
the fuel tanks to 30% minimum of their total capacity. On the overhead panel 225VU, on the CABIN
PRESS section, push the DITCHING pushbutton switch.

2) Where is the reference of X-axis on the A/C?

The reference (station 0) for all structural measurement in the X-axis are installed FWD of the A/C
nose. It is 251.2in or 6382mm from the X-axis to the tip of the radom.

3) Which DMC control the Capts PFD/ND, F/Os PFD/ND and the standby DMC?

DMC 1 normally drives the Capt PFD and ND, and the DMC 2 normally drives the F/O PFD and ND.
The DMC 3 is in standby and can be used in case of DMC 1 and/or 2 failure.

4) Which DMC drives the EWD and SD?

DMC 3 normally drives the EWD and the SD.

5) What is DLRB? Its purpose and where is it located?

The Data Loading Routing Box (DLRB) in accordance with the Data Loading Selector (DLS), makes
A/C computer selection for up and down loading. It is located at the cockpit right console.

6) Which EXT PWR supplies the ground service network when you push the MAINT BUS
P/B to ON?

EXT PWR A

7) ADR and IR parts belong to each ADIRU. How do they operate and if one part fails, Does it
affect the other?

They operate independently and the failure of one system does not affect the other one.

8) What are the 2 new modes in EGPWS? How many modes are there in the Normal GPWS?

The 2 new modes are Terrain Clearance Floor (TCF) and Terrain Awareness alerting and Display
(TAD). There are 5 modes in the normal GPWS.

9) In the Auto Flight System, when the Aileron moves, does the sidestick move?

No, the sidestick will not move.

10) Which VDR is used for Data Transmission?

f
VDR 3 transceiver is also connected to the Air Traffic Service Unit (ATSU) for direct exchange of
data between the A/C and a ground network.

11) Which switch is used for checking all lights?

ANNunciator LT TEST function is used for checking all lights. It uses 4 identical lighting
Transformers and Annunciator light control cards.

12) What is the difference between 200 and 300 series?

200 series A/C have 10 frames shorter than the 300 series.

13) There are the different hydraulic system pumps located at?

The green electrical pump is located inside the MLG bay, on the left section of the aft wall.

The yellow electrical pump is located inside the yellow hydraulic compartment, on the right forward
section of the belly fairing.

The blue electrical pump is located inside the blue hydraulic compartment, on the left forward
section of the belly fairing.

14) When will the Autobrakes be applied?

Activation of the auto brake is started after deployment order of the ground spoilers from the FCPC.

15) Which computer do you find the Normal laws?

In the FCPCs.

16) Which pump operate the actuators for Fwd and Aft Cargo Door?

The yellow electric pump.

17) How does Bulk Cargo Door operate?

It opens upwards and inwards and it is manually operated from the inside or the outside of the A/C.

18) What is the red grip for in the oxygen mask box?

The red grips to pull the mask out of the box, and this action causes the mask harness to inflate
and to put the mask on.

19) Where is the location of the Vacuum System Controller?

It is installed in the bulk cargo compartment on the RH side.

20) In the APU fuel feed, how many pumps run at one time?

There are two pumps in the APU fuel feed. They are the Fwd APU pump and AFT APU Pump. Only
one pump runs at a time.

21) How many fire elements are there in the fire detection loop?

There are 5 detector elements connected in parallel in each fire detection loop.

22) How many fire bottles are there for 1 engine?

There are 2 fire bottles located in the engine pylon for each engine.

23) At which Flight Level does the APU bleed air is shut off?

At Level 23,000 feet (FL 230)

24) What condition needs to be satisfy for the EEC to operate the Directional Valve?

The EIVMU verifies aircraft-on-ground and thrust reverse selected and enables the EEC to
operate the directional Valve.

25) How to change EPR to N1 mode?

The N1 mode switches are used to switch the primary engine control parameter to N1 if the normal
EPR control fails. The switching is automatic but the crew has to confirm it.

26) Does Bleed Monitoring Computer (BMC) detect overheat?

Yes, each BMC monitors system pressure and will shut down the engine bleed in case of excessive
pressure.

27) What is the side button for the thrust lever?

It is to disengage the Auto-thrust.

28) How many wing Anti-Ice valves?

One is for the Slat No. 4, and one is for Slats No. 5,6,7.

29) What is the source for Nacelle Anti-Ice?

HP3

30) What does the First Letter mean for FIN No.?

System Identifier.

31) Where do you find the un-scheduled maintenance checks?

Chapter 05-50-00

32) What does the Residual Pressure Control Unit (RPCU) do?

When the A/C is on ground, the RPCU forces both outflow valves to move to the fully open position,
overriding the automatic control from CPCs and the manual control as well.

This is to prevent any violent door opening in case of residual cabin pressure.
