Davide Giangregorio, bass- baritone

Born in Benevento, he studied singing with mezzo Chiara Chialli and he graduated at N.
Sala conservatory in his hometown, where he also studied organ and composition,
chamber music and piano.

In 2012 he joined the Young Academy in Stresa under the guidance of Natale De Carolis
debuting Don Basilio in Barbiere di Siviglia at 51^ Stresa Festival. In 2013 he won the
67th competition of Teatro Lirico Sperimentale in Spoleto where he performed
as Angelotti in Tosca and Guglielmo in Cos fan tutte. In the same year he was admitted
at Alberto Zeddas Rossini Accademy in Pesaro, singing at XXV Rossini Opera Festival
as Don Prudenzio in Il Viaggio a Reims.In 2014 he joined the Teatro alla Scala
Accademy where he studied with Renato Bruson, Luciana Serra, Luciana dIntino. He
studies baroque repertoire with Sonia Prina.

Among his recent engagements: Noye in B. Brittens Noyes fludde at Ente Concerti
Marialisa De Carolis in Sassari, Colline in Bohme at the Teatro Regio in
Turin, Gaudenzio in Il signor Bruschino at La Fenice in Venice, Ubaldo in La serva
padrona in Vicenza, Alidoro at the Teatro alla Scala in Cenerentola and The 5th Woman in
G.Battistellis CO2 (World premire) directed by Robert Carsen;
he sang Morals and Zuniga in Carmen for Turin Classical Music Festival, Achilla in Giulio
Cesare at the Cairo Opera House, Monterone in Rigoletto and Valton in Puritani at
Teatro Massimo V. Bellini in Catania, Togrul in A.Casellas La donna serpente at Festival
della Valle dItria in Martina Franca conducted by Fabio Luisi, Betto di Signa in Gianni
Schicchi and Dante in S.Monterisis Schicchi e Puccini (world premire) at Teatro
Municipale in Piacenza, Masetto in Don Giovanni in Circuito Lombardo directed by
Graham Vick, Cardillo in La Finta Parigina at the Teatro Trianon in Naples, Don
Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Congress Palace in Stresa, Caserta Royal Palace
and Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Benevento.

In concert he sang at prestigious Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, at the Italian
Parliament in Rome, at the Kapella Hall in St. Petersburg under the baton of Mats
Liljefors. He sang as bass soloist in Mozart' Requiem K626 with Chorus and Orchestra of
Teatro Massimo V. Bellini at the S. Francesco Church in Catania.

Future engagements include: Fabrizio in La gazza ladra and Falke in Die


Fledermaus at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, Masetto in Don Giovanni at the Teatro La
Fenice in Venice and at the Stadttheater in Klagenfurt.
