ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION:

(C) The transmitter output signal shall be as specified.

The transmitter power supply voltage shall be 24 VDC, for 2 wire transmission system,
minimum power supply voltage 12.5 VDC.

The manufacturer should specify in his quotation the maximum allowable loop
resistance.

The transmitter output action shall be direct, unless otherwise specified. Direct or
reverse action signal output selection shall be available.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY:

The electrical safety "type of protection" shall be as specified in the requisition/indent.

ENCLOSURE:

The electronic enclosure shall be according to ip65 of IEC 529, as a minimum.

The finish of the aluminium enclosure should be manufacturer's standard, unless

otherwise specified.

SPE 60.32/069 Page 3 of 5

ELECTRONICS:

The transmitter electronics shall be solid-state.

Printed circuit board(s) should be of a replaceable modular construction, shall be

hermetically sealed or protected by a corrosion-resistant coating (tropicalized) and
vibration-free supported in case of plug-in type circuit boards.
Signal wiring terminals and electronics shall be housed in separate compartments, so
that the electronics remain sealed during electrical connection of the transmitter to the
signal cable.
The electronics system shall be provided with a reverse polarity protection circuit.

ADJUSTMENTS:

Zero and span shall be non-interacting easy accessible and continuously adjustable,
zero externally.
The external adjustment(s) should be provided with an environmental protection cover.

PERFORMANCE:

With reference to IEC 770, errors are expressed as a percentage of the calibrated
span, unless otherwise specified.

(C) The transmitter accuracy including combined effect of lineairity, hysteresis and
repeatability shall be as specified.

Dead Band;
The dead band shall be equal to or better than 0.05%.

Stability; (not including temperature/pressure effect)

The stability shall be better than +/-0.1% per 30 days of the minimum span.

Ambient Temperature Effect;

With reference to IEC 654-1, the rate of temperature change value shall be taken as
20 deg c per hour, unless otherwise specified.

The total dynamic effect of the temperature including span and zero error;
At maximum span, shall be equal or less than +/-1.5%.
At minimum span, shall be equal or less than +/-4.5%, unless otherwise specified.

Radio Frequency Interference;

With reference to IEC 801-3, for radio transmitters/receivers which have an
electomagnetic field with a strength of 10 vm in the frequency range between 20 and
1.000 mhz the total effect of the radio frequency interference shall be equal or less

Notes:

1. Manufacturer's model number should include type of measuring element material

and type of fill fluid and if applicable the range elevation.

2. Electrical safety "type of protection" identification shall be identical to the one

specified in the requisition/indent.

3. The action of reverse acting transmitters shall be identified accordingly.

with a stainless steel wire to the transmitter. This plate shall show the purchaser's tag
number as stated in the requisition/indent.

FACTORY TESTING:

Each transmitter shall be subjected to a hydrostatic pressure test at minimum 1.25

times the body rating.

For NACE standard MR-01-75 requirements, the particular transmitter(s) shall be

subjected to a NACE hardness test (or test "samples" at the raw parts) on the body
parts and blind (oval) flanges (not measuring element).

Each transmitter shall be factory tested to meet the calibrated range requirements as
stated, calibration certificate shall be provided on purchasers request only. If the
calibrated range is not specified by the purchaser, the transmitter shall be calibrated at
the maximum pressure range.

FACTORY INSPECTION:

If specified in the purchase order the transmitter shall be inspected by the purchaser's
inspector before despatch. Unless otherwise specified, inspection by the purchaser
shall be restricted to the following:
