Stylistic Devices
In the song Same Love many stylistic devices are used:

Repetition- My love, My love, My love, is used to

emphasis and bring attention to certain ideas

Rhyme- We press play, don't press pause, Progress,

march on, With the veil over our eyes, We turn our
back on the cause is used to create a link between
two ideas

Personification- Love is patient, Love is kind is used to

create a better understanding
Important Lines
Bunch of stereotypes all in my head,
Makes you realize just how much words and opinions can
hurt people. How what people think of you can change
how you see yourself.
And "God loves all his children" is somehow forgotten,
This is really eye-opening, because so many people think
it is wrong and God would not approve, in fact they use
the bible to say that. But as shown in this quote that is
not all it says. People cant pick and chose what is
written based on what works for them.
And I can't change; Even if I tried; Even if I wanted to,
Just because someone is told what they feel is wrong,
doesnt make them feel any different.
