Population growth can be a positive and negative issue. Yet, more negative is to come

out of it over the years. Demand for basic necessities is increasing as the older age of our

population is living longer. This rapid increase has begun long ago and has been getting

greater and greater every year. There are fears that our food supply will run out

eventually as many people are already deprived of food, but, our production techniques

are assisting many and helping out more. The main problem is really just making it

available to those who are in need. The mass amount of people have also impacted our

environment greatly by releasing gases into our air and putting health at risk. The

amount of solid waste has also grown greatly and is a big concern. Overall, good family

planning can help ensure that our population will become more sustainable for our future.

China is the most populated country in our world, and with that comes problems. They

were reaching warning levels in their population and issued a one-child policy to limit its

birthrates. They originally used this as a short term measure in order to emphasize family

planning and help the rapidly increasing population. People who abided by this policy

were often rewarded, and those who did not were often fined. Still, the population

continued to grow, and due to many uprisings, they removed the policy and inserted a

two-child policy. Though, the old policy did shown signs of effectiveness and success in

efforts to decrease the rapid growth.

This article provides information about how our world cannot cope with our aging

population. Scientist are concerned on how our world will soon not be able to handle our

needs and eventually run out of resources. It also provides us with ecological problems.

Humans are occupying much of the land, leaving little room for animal and plant species.

We are also harming our world by polluting it and distributing waste. Other key facts it

points out are human suffering, how food supply is decreasing, and society conflict is

increasing. Lastly, this article announces ways to reverse these trends in efforts to help

our growing world.

This is a short broadcast that briefly explains how the effect of population growth is now
interfering with jobs. It states that approximately 12.5 million people are unemployed,

and of those, 5 million are long-termed unemployed. Very few have been able to find

work and many describe themselves as though they have lost their identity. The job

losses have caused financial struggles, which as we all know is a vast problem. It

additionally states how these jobs are not coming back at the rate we need them to, and

more people are out for long term unemployment. This is one effect, of many, that the

growing population has on citizens.

This article puts a new view on global population. It focuses more on the global aging

and older end of our population. The two main influences of global aging occur from

rising longevity and falling fertility. Improvements in medical technology have shown to

increase the age of our global life. Also, as lives have expanded, the birth rates have gone
down. These issues in our growth gap will affect our developed world and younger

developing world. The developed world comes with its problems too. Public health

benefits are becoming an issue while the health costs are continuing to rise. This effects

the government in borrowing money, which will eventually consume the developed

world's savings. On the decreasing fertility side, this causes problems with low job

growth and early unemployment. The global aging threatens to erupt new burdens which

include economic challenges and labor supply. As shown from this article, it is important

to focus on our older aging population too because they are what can hurt our world in

the long run. Yet, there are many ways to regain balance and stability.
