The map (Figure.1) below depicts the 10 most populous states (outlined in red)
within the U.S. in the year 2010. The table (Figure.2) shows each race population
within those top 10 states and compares that to the total population, of the same
respective races, of the entire country. The last column in the table shows what
percentage of the race is made up in the original 10 most populous states. The
pattern that arises from these statistics is that almost half or more of the population
in the different race categories is located within the top 10 states.
