The location were going to film at is Birnbeck Pier, Weston-super-Mare BS23, no

permission is needed as it is an open space to the general public.

Traffic Problems: (How we dealt with sound/visuals from passing cars)

The location were choosing to film at is in an old vintage pier. It is in the center
of Weston near the main wsm beach. It is quite a big and open area with less
people around and transports going pass. For this advert, weve chosen to have
not alot going on in the background. This is because we want the audience to
focus on the makeup on the model face. In addition to this we also plan to have a
soundtrack over our footage so audio from our surroundings wont be a problem.

Local conditions: (Could the weather effect filming)

For our filming, we plan to complete all footage outside so we have to ensure
that the weather is nice and sunny to match the atmosphere of our advert so by
heading out today and completing this recce I could plan my day around the
weather forecast: (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

intrusions: (Passers-by music, trains, and general filming interruptions)

As this projects audio wont be a concern as we dont intend to include it, audio
from our chosen soundtrack will play over the top. However, there could be
filming interruptions from things such as reflections in mirrors or surfaces from
both people and camera crew, to resolve this we can evaluate mise on scene
before shooting to look for a potential problem and change them before filming
so that we dont need to return to the location to film at a later date.

Continuity: (Is anything likely to change at this location e.g. posters)

The continuity at this location is very consistent as were only filming for a short
amount of time for one filming slot we dont need to worry about continuity,
however if the audio/filing isnt sufficient once left the location, we may then
need to return. To resolve the continuity in this we can ask anyone being filmed
to wear the same clothing and style their hair to the same as previously. We will
also have to ensure that any props like flowers and hair sprays to be used the
same. Any posters in the background or beds of flowers to still be in season.

Electricity and lighting issues/sound: (Will we need an electric supply

and is there access to one? Is sound equipment needed)

Due to us wanting to film in natural daylight we wont need any additional light
boxes etc., we plan to use a slider for panning shots, and two X70s for a crisp
image. The location doesnt have access to Wi-Fi as were outside however due to
us filming for a short amount of time instead we will just bring extra spare
batteries to cover ourselves in case we run out but asides from that this wont be
too much of a problem.

Welfare: (Can your crew/actors get refreshments and use toilets, and
will they need to stay overnight at the location)

Refreshments are available from the location were staying at for the duration of
filming, however every 5-minute walk away there are local corner shops
available and accuse to public toilets as it is a public open area. Tescos which
will suit are you to all your allergy and V needs. Toilet facilities are accessible on
site. In case of a minor emergency you can walk and get a transport to the
hospital that is 7mins away (by car) from the location. For any major-medical
attention can be found at Weston General Hospital a 7-minute drive or a 24-
minute walk via the footpath off the main road. No overnight accommodation is
required however if needed the nearest hotel is (Premier inn, Beach Road,
Weston Super Mare BS23 1TT). we advise to book in advance if overnight stay is
needed to secure a stay, and rooms are a flat rate of 89 per night including
B&B. Or alternatively Weston center offers several B&B accommodations the
nearest to our location is (Linden Lodge guest house, 27 Clevedon Road, Weston-
Super-Mare BS23 1DA) this location is accessible by bus from outside the location
as the number 107 that departs from the location every 15 and 20 minutes past
the hour, alternatively the location is a 17-minute drive from the location or a 42-
minute walk. For a guaranteed stay book in advance, a nights stay is a flat rate
of 40 per night including B&B.

Public parking and transport: (How will people get to the location)

The location offers a car park around the outside of the par if crew or actors are
travelling by car or motorcycle. (need to pay) . Weston train station is a (13
minutes from the location) offers a train station with frequent arrival and
departures from the station that covers the whole of the south west (all day
return is 6.30, while an all-day child return is 3.30 and this is available to
under 15s only). The outer station has a taxi rank and bike parks for both motor
and bicycles, the station operates a full CCTV system to ensure your valuables
are safe. The center also offers several bus services that covers the whole of the
south west and more (adult all-day rider 7.30, while a child all day rider is
4.50, available to those under the age of 15, travel is for free to anyone under
the age of 5).
