WBSEDCL announces recruitment of Assistant Engineer (Electrical)
and Assistant Engineer (Civil) through GATE-2017. Electrical
Engineers/Power Engineers/Electrical & Electronics Engineers and
Civil Engineers/Construction Engineers intending to join WBSEDCL
as Assistant Engineer (Electrical) and Assistant Engineer (Civil) are
required to appear and qualify for Graduate Aptitude Test in
Engineering (GATE-2017).
Only GATE-2017 Score is valid for the recruitment exercise in
WBSEDCL under this advertisement. Score from GATE-2016 or from
any previous GATE examination is not valid.
The basic eligibility criteria details, vacancy available and other

Years for SC & ST candidates of West Bengal only and 10 years
for Person with Disability in the upper age limit.
Educational Qualification: (i) Electrical Engineering- Full Time
4 years B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) Degree (including candidates
who have joined the course through lateral entry) in Electrical
Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics (Combined) /Power Engineering
/B.Sc (H) in Physics with 3 years B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
from any Institute approved by AICTE/IITs. (ii) Civil Engineering-
Full time 4 years BE/B.Tech/B.Sc(Engg.) Degree in Civil
Engineering/Construction Engineering from any Institute
approved by AICTE/IITs.
