The Naga Court by setrius

The Yuan-ti or Naga are a mysterious race whose society is strictly


organized in a cast system dependent, by and large, upon physical
types. The royalty and the most ancient nobles. Below these, the ruling
elite of aristocrats and a powerful middle class. The lowest classes are
peasants and slaves of hybrid stock.

Naga society is dominated by the priesthood. The chief god of Naga is


Seth, the Serpent God, whose influence has stretched from the
Mountains of Gold and the jungles Taphria of into nearly all other lands.

Most Naga worship Seth. All yuan-ti must act in accordance with the Sacred Way of Seth - that is, subtly.
Whenever possible, yuan-ti chooses manipulation over open confrontation, the whisper over the fang.
Followers of the Sacred Way of Seth know their foes, think ahead, and plan forward.

Yuan-ti castes and breed


The Yuan-ti comes in several distinct castes or breed.
Naga appear mostly human, with minor reptilian features, such as slitted eyes, a
forked tongue, or patches of scales on their skin. They serve as clerics, conjurers
and infiltrators, pretending to be human. The Naga are the most common and
numerous of all the castes. That's why they are known as Naga outside out their
lands.

Yuan-ti are humanoid in shape but have a wide variety of noticeable serpentine
features, such as a snakelike tail in place of legs, a complete covering of scales, a
hood like a cobra, a snake's head, or snakes in place of arms. They serve as
warriors and temple assistants.

Royal Blood Yuan-ti is almost completely snakelike, with only a few human
features, such as arms or a humanoid head. They are the most venerated within the
yuan-ti society.

Pureblood Yuan-ti is a rare breed specifically bred as temple guards. Holy guardians are naturally servile
and follow their superiors without question. They uniformly have a serpentine tail in place of legs and a
snakelike head.

Misfortunes Hunters They wander throughout the continent of Taphiria. Misfortunes Hunters have no
memory of their former human lives and have a savage desire to kill, though they lack the intellect for
complex strategies unless carefully instructed by their Royalty.

Sierpe of Seth Blessed by Seth this gigantic snakes are for the Yuan-ti society the manifestation and
incarnation of Seth. They are worshiped by Yuan-ti in temples, cities and jungles.

Gorgona is one of the oldest and repulsive creatures of Seth, which wander, abhorred, dreaded, and
shunned by the rest of the world. Seth transformed and blessing the Gorgona into a hateful monster, which
have snakes instead of hair. Anyone looking at Gorgona face immediately turns to stone.

Anathemas They are truly bizarre in appearance, have a humanlike head but a snakelike tail instead of
legs. An anathema's power represents chaos, they are usually found away from yuan-ti cities, establishing
cults that worship Seth through them. Anathemas are extremely rare, however, and only handfuls are
likely to exist on any part of the world.
Army Special Rules:

Sons of Seth: The model gains the rule Innate Defence (6+). Also
if more than half of a units model has this special rule, when
taking Leadership Tests, roll one additional D6 and remove the
highest D6 rolled.

Royalty: The army must include at least one character with this
special rule. Each Character with Royalty rule can take a single
Royal lineage.

Conjurer: May take two Arcane Items instead one. Conjurer only
can take Magical Items up to 100 points.

Armoury:
Yuan-ti hunting bow: Shooting Weapon.
Range 24 ", Strength (same as user), Quick to fire.

Javelin: Shooting Weapon.


Range 18", Strength as user, Quick to Fire.

Royal lineage. Royal lineages are each 0-1 Choice per Army.

Lineage of Seth (105 pts) - Only Royal Blood Yuan-ti. A character with this Royal lineage is a Wizard
Apprentice with 2 Learned Spells from Path of Divination. Also gains the special rule Conjurer.
Lineage of Corruption (70 pts) - The bearer gains the rules Fear and Breath Weapon (Toxic attacks).
Lineage of Titan (40 pts) - The bearer gains the rules Impact hits (1d3) and Stomp (1d3).
Lineage of Kings (40 pts) - The bearer increases its Hold Your Ground or Inspiring Presence Range
by 6".
Lineage of Flame (25 pts) - The bearer gains the rules Flaming Attacks and Fireborn.
Ferric lineage (20 pts) - The bearer gains Type: None (6+ Armour Save). Once per game may be
activated when the bearer's model fails an Armour Save. That failed Armour Save may be rerolled.

Naga Blessings: A model part with this rule and all model
parts in the same unit, except mounts, may reroll all natural to-hit and
wound rolls of 1 in Close Combat during the first Round of Combat. A
model with this rule can cast the following three Bound Spells (Power
Level 3), each once per magic phase. These Bound Spells are type:
Casters Unit and Augment, and duration: Lasts One Turn.

The blessing of the god serpent: The target gains +1 to its Armour
Save.

Cobra Fangs: The target gains Poisoned Attacks Special Rule. Attacks
that were already Poisoned Attacks will be wound automatically on a
natural to hit roll one less (6+ become 5+ and 5+ become in 4+)

Divine Image: The target unit gains Regeneration (5+) against non-
magical attacks.
Magic Items.
Magical Weapons

Eternal phylum (60points)


Type: Halberd. Attacks made with this weapon gain
+2 Strength.

Storm piercing (60 points)


Type: bow. Range 36 ", Strength (same as user), Multiple
Shots (3), Quick to Fire, Lightning Attack.

Magical Armour

Snakeskin armour (50 points) Infantry only


Type: Heavy Armour. The bearer may perform Make Way
moves even when they are in base contact with an enemy
model.

Biting Shield (30 points) Infantry only


Type: Shield. The bearer gains an additional attack using its
strength attribute. Perform this separate attack as it is
considered magical. If the model is no equipped with
magical weapon get the Parry special rule.
Talismans

Talisman of deceit (30 points)


The bearer gains a Ward Save (6+). Also in challenges the bearer's model gains Distracting
special rule.

Necklace of detestation (70 points)


The bearer cant be wounded in Close Combat with natural rolls of `1 and `2.

Enchanted Items

Bifid statuette (30 points) One use only


Enemy units in base contact with the bearer they must reroll all natural to-hit and wound rolls of
6 in Close Combat during the first Round of Combat.

Potion of Stamina (30 points) One use only.


Whenever the wearer's model suffers a hit with the special rule Multiple Wound, the item can be
activated. For the duration of the Phase, the wearer's model ignores the rule Multiple Wound.
Cannot be taken by models with Towering Presence.

Arcane Items
Sierpes egg (50 points) One use only.
The bearer may activate this item at the End of the Active
Magic Phase. When activated, place a single Seths
Swarm within 12" of the bearer. This swarm will not give
Victory Points if it is destroyed.

The Seth Commandments (50 points) One use only.


The bearer may activate this item in the opponents Magic
Phase, after Magic Flux and Channeling have been rolled.
When activated, the player cant cast 'boosted' versions of spells
and use Attribute Spells, including Attribute Spells of Bound
Spells, during this Magic Phase.

Banner of thousand sons (50 points)


The first full range counts double when applying the Steadfast rule.

Banner of mirages (50 points) One use only


Activate at the Start of the Movement Phase. Infantry models in the bearer's unit gains Random
Movement (3D6). Also all models in its unit count as being in Soft Cover. If one of the models
affected by this item is already in Soft Cover, it counts as being in Hard Cover instead. The
standard cannot be used in Game Turn 1 if the unit has used Vanguard or Scout
