In this pamphlet, we will be taking a trip
through 3 different countries. Explore their
differences and problems. We will be going
over population density, the percent of
people occupying the land, and how it
brings benefits such as farming and trading
and business. Youll also discover how
population density can lead to
overpopulation and how many residents are
in poverty even though many jobs are
generated in places like china and Brazil.
Youll also see asylum seekers, people who
escaped their own country to seek safety
and shelter in another country like refuges
that fled to Africa.

Rio de Janerio, Stop 1
This map shows the impact humans have had
on Brazil, Rio de Janeiro specifically, through
population density. The population of Brazil is
about 210,831,873 with the most population in
the east with, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo,
Buenos Aires, and Natal. Specifically, Rio
meets number 2 in heavily populated with a
massive 6,453,682 people. However, the
problem Rio faces is overpopulation and
poverty. As it is, millions of people are living in
favelas and even then, there are still so much
living on the streets. Officials are working on
constructing more favelas but theyd be away
from the city and residents are against being
too far away from the city. I dont agree with
slum expansion, I propose that instead of
expanding favelas we produce more goods, as
it is brazil is known for their goods like beans,
sugar, and other oils. If they generated more
jobs and increased their revenue residents
would push past poverty and escape living in
the slums.
Africa, Stop 2
This is an interesting map that
captures the push and pull factors of
human migration. Africa has long
been a major source immigrants in
many major European countries and
North America. The map reveals a
couple of push factors that can help
explain the variations. Ethiopia is a
peaceful country but there is some
form of political repression going on.
For instance, in the Rio Olympics, an
athlete flashed a cross sign using his
arms as a sign of protest against
political repression going on in the
country (Presse, 2016). Thereafter he
did not accompany his team back
home. The same can be said of
Zimbabwe. On the other hand, there
is Somalia and the Democratic
Republic of Congo, two countries
which have not known peace for a
very long time. Here, conflict can be
seen as the push factor. More
peaceful and democratic countries
such as Kenya, Tanzania and
Madagascar can be said to have less
push factors and therefore less likely
to be a source of immigrants. Hence,
this is just an indication that the
focus of the governments that
receive these immigrants is to focus
more on improving the quality of life
in countries that send out the high
number of asylum seekers. This will
involve a mix of measures such as
economic aid packages and pressure
on governments to reform and stop
the political
Repressions.
China, Stop 3
This map shows us a high population
density in China. China has almost
1.4 billion people with the most
population in the world because each
city has more than million people
and some big cities has more than
ten million people. Like Chongqing
has 28 million people (28,846,200),
Shanghai has 23 million people
(23,019,100), and Beijing has 19
million people (19,612,400). Even
China has a lot of people, China still
needs to face poverty. As it is, million
of people are living in the small town
and get less than ten thousands per
year of income to live. Chinese
governments are working and
helping people their business, but
their are still many poverty
governments need to face.
