The diagnostics software for the S7-300,
S7-400 CPU is configured using the stan-
dard tools supplied with the SIMATIC PCS
7 or STEP 7/WinCC software.

Insert the diagnostics block in the
S7 program
Export the hardware configuration
(cfg-file)
Transfer the block variables to WinCC
(AS-/OS transfer)

Insert the diagnostic OCX in the WinCC

Specify the path of the exported HW

Once the diagnostic system has been
configured, the engineering environment
is no longer necessary.
Licenses
One license must be purchased for each
operator station on which you want to
use S7-300, S7-400 CPU Diagnostics. It
makes no difference whether this station
is a single-user station, a server, a
UniClient, or a MultiClient.
The great advantage: Regardless of the
number of CPUs/ H-CPUs you intend to
visualize on each operator station, you
only need one license per station. Most
components from firmware V2.6 on are
approved for the S7-300 CPU.
