3. Administration for Children and Families
Division of Department of Health and Human services which
focuses on the well being of children and families with low
income, are refugees, or even natives to the US via human
services
ACF awarded 12.6 million to low income family organizations
containing people who are hard working (have taken initiative to
work hard and save money!)
Data shows that adoption rate among foster children is
increasing. They believe this is because of the balance between
well fare quality for children and adoption permanent moving of
children to families.
Studies show that children on welfare have higher chances to
have a higher risk of physical health problems. ACAF responds
with immediate care for the children, knowledge to the public
about these situations and promoting adoption into families.
4. Department of Justice
Department ensures law and rights of citizens by defending
threats and punishing crimes properly

Attorney General Ana Belfon signed an agreement agreeing to
share over 36 million dollars of criminal assets with the Panama
government. Will enable executive sharing committee to propose
specific funding ideas
Army National Guard members found guilty of defrauding its
bureau. Investigation accuses 25 people total with 17 actually
pleading guilty. Basically gave names and social security
numbers to people to use ANG benefits.
Diebold (company) admits to violating FCPA by supposedly
bribing China with false records to disallow state owning and
private banks to own ATMS
5. National Institute of Mental Health
Funds research grants for scientists discovering things about
mental health
Adolescent Panic Disorder to be treated by cognitive behavioral
therapy: Gives three examples followed by an intervention plan.
Includes description of APD and symptoms.
Scientists discovered a method to convert human stem cells,
possibly leading to personalized medicines!
Community based treatments for depression prove to be a
success, especially in low income homes, where treatment is
often too expensive. (Stuff involving churches, schools, etc.)
6. US Department of Education
Help child and adolescent education by fighting for globally
better quality (and equal) learning opportunities
US Department of Education awards USC with 875,000 dollars
specifically for the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center.
They wish to enhance the studies of Community Living Policy.
Announcement that October is Connected Educator Month.
Teachers/Educators participate in online training courses to help
enhance technology.
