For this activity, you need a ruler and a pair of scissors. A protractor is optional.

1 By measuring its sides and examining its angles, classify each triangle below by side (equilateral,
isosceles or scalene) and by angle (acute-angled, obtuse-angled or right-angled). Write the category on
each triangle.

2 Mark the two equal sides on each isosceles triangle.

3 Cut out the triangles.

4 By folding or using a protractor, discover which angles in an equilateral triangle are equal and mark
them.

5 Discover which angles in an isosceles triangle are equal and mark them.

6 Discover which angles in a scalene triangle are equal and mark them.
