An AES consultant decides which customers
they work with and in what sectors.
AES is an Investors in People company. All
consultants are trained to deliver all of AESs
services.
There is no ceiling on a consultants earnings.
The standard basic pay after a probationary
period (length decided on performance) is
20,000.

The objective of every recruitment consultant at AES is to find around 6 to 8


good customers who need our assistance to recruit 2 to 3 business critical
people every year. AES is in the quality not quantity recruitment sector.

The key is to find these customers as quickly as possible and that involves a lot
of intelligent and well targeted telephone work particularly in the first 6 months
with the company.

An extensive client brief is taken and a


consultant uses their skill to find a match for the
client to interview. Our charges only apply when
a candidate accepts a role and in accordance
with our standard terms and conditions of
business.
Charges are calculated on the introduced
candidates basic first years salary and are
between 15% to 25%. A typical introduction fee
in the current economic climate is around 5,000

Service

An extensive brief is taken including an


evaluation of organisational culture and the
specific requirements of the role. A marketing
campaign is undertaken to target the candidates
who most closely fit the clients key requirements.
AES has access to several million CVs in the
UK. As part of this service we will interview and
produce a relevant shortlist for a client to assess.
AES charges a flat fee that includes a retention
fee to cover the initial marketing campaign.
Advertising and Campaign
Management Service

This service is of interest to organisations that often have


a number of permanent vacancies that need attention.
Once we have established an overview of a customers
needs, we advertise the position through a range of
appropriate selected channels and manage the
response. The customer will then receive CVs of
qualified candidates with full background information,
ready for their selection.
AES has access to several million CVs in the UK and we
charge a set fee per annum (typically 15,000) for this
service, regardless of how many vacancies are
advertised during the course of the year.
Search
(Headhunting)
AES will proactively locate candidates from
competitors and other relevant organisations
and produce a shortlist of interested parties.
We charge 30% of the successful candidates
first years salary paid in three instalments: a
third retention fee, a third on delivery of short list
and a third when the successful candidate
accepts the job offer that you make.
Pay for a
recruitment consultant
24 sales per annum (with 5,000 being a typical fee)
could give you sales of around 120,000. 2 sales per
month is realistic especially as the economy expands.
AES has an extremely good (no ceiling) sliding reward
structure based on performance. The above sales figure
of 120,000 gives pro-rata earnings of around 60,000.
At the other end of the scale an annual sales figure of
just under 48,000 gives you just your basic pay.
AES and the other consultants at AES, do not want to
work with anyone who is happy with basic pay!
Employment package for a
recruitment consultant
Flexible working A consultant is required to account
for 37.5 hours per week between 8am and 6pm
Monday to Thursday and 8am and 1pm on Friday.
Pension - AES contributes 5% and the Recruiter
contributes 5% up to a maximum of 20,000.
