Task 1

The three given pie charts illustrate the changes in annual spending of a school in
the UK in three different years over two decades.

To begin with, all of the charts show that teachers salaries always took the first
place for total school spending in each year. However, the value was a bit fluctuate.
During the first ten years, total spending for teachers salaries increased about 10%
from 1981. In the next decade, the percentage decline slightly became 45%. It was
5% lower than the value in 1991. In contrast, the lowest spending of the school was
taken by the insurance. It was only 2%; 3%; and 8% from total spending in 1981;
1991; and 2001 respectively.

Looking at the details, almost all of the spending had a fluctuating transformation.
According to the charts, the furniture and equipment investment slipped
dramatically from 15% to 5% during te first ten years. Still, it is interesting to note
that the percentage of that rose significantly with almost 5 times greater than in
1991. The unstable changes also occurred in the resource e.g. book spending.

In conclusion, over two decades some of the change of the school spending were
unpredictable while for the other two spending, the insurance and other workers
salaries, tended to increase and decrease respectively in each year.

Task 2.

Nowadays, technology development was going to advance every single day. It is

certainly affected the way of people interact. Indeed, this improvement will lead
some positive and negative impacts to the human relationship. However, I believe
that the technology transformation will give a beneficial development to the society.

In ancient time, it was really hard to interact with each other. Back then, we can
only use limited technology like letter even we should have face to face
communication. Those ways really took much effort in time, money, even energy.
Besides, the ancient technology could not guarantee for the message that we
delivered could be arrived at the other person safely.

With the development of the technology, people do not have to worry about that
kind of problems anymore. Since the invented of the telephone, the communication
between human became more efficient, cheaper, and easier. As the time goes by,
the communication system has been improving gradually. One of the greatest
inventions was the social network. By using the social network such as facebook,
twitter, path, and many other, we can easily get in touch with our relation at the
same time, no matter how far they are. It also provides some facilities like chatting,
photos sharing, activities sharing, and many others.
Despite its effectively, we must be careful in using the technology. Some people
tend to enjoy the technology and ended up to forget their social life. In the worst
case, they become an anti-social human being. Still, it does not mean that the
technology is fragile, everything depends on how wise people use it. That worst
condition will only occur to the one who cannot manage their social life properly.

To conclude, it cannot be denied that technology improvement, especially in

communication, really support our social live and relationship. However, it does not
mean that there is no negative effect from this improvement. There will be a
negative impact but, as long people can manage the use of the technology wisely,
everything will be under control. Indeed, the technology has a great contribution
toward the establishment of human society nowadays.
