Raphael Yoshitomi is a photographer who traps life and at the same time frees the moment. Whether from
a birds eye perspective or from street level. His pictures show a painterly quality, soft edges trap a more
beautiful picture.

Raphael Yoshitomi is a master in showing the heat of the moment. His photographs seem to be staged, but if
you look close enough the photographs turn out to be curiously real. People become like props, wandering in
the photographs and revealing a larger plan that is chaotically structured.
