Support Analyst BW Data Reconciliation

Context

Shared service centre supports a variety of global business processes. Statutory and management reporting mean two crucial
functions that belong focus areas.

IS& Operations acts as a primary enabler for these functions by


Maintaining,
Improving, and
Developing new / integrating external reporting solutions

on platforms such as
ERP systems (SAP)
BPM applications for consolidated reporting (BFC)

Business Intelligence suites (SAP BW / BI)


Other internal / externally managed environments
with proper understanding of the underlying business function, end-to-end project management, and change management.

Regardless of team membership, each IS &Operations role requires a personality / character with:
Stakeholder management skills adequate to the role
Ability to understand a wide range of business processes and systems
Willingness to propose alternatives with anopen mind-set
Prioritise and validate requirements against business needs and opportunities
Ability to take action on multiple tasks, with limited guidance while complying with the existing change management and
documentation frameworks

SAP BW (for management reporting & decision support)
SAP ECC (DEP)
for markets supported as per individual responsibility

The role requires an open personality interested in both Business processes and the underlying Technical setup and drivers.

Market Complexity

BW Data ReconciliationSupport Analyst is a global coverage role, typically with stakeholders like:
IS Operations (Systems Ops, CPI, BPM)
General Accounting teams
Application end-users in Business units globally
Members of the Application Support Networks
IS, BI
3rd party support partners
Other SSC support teams

BW Data Reconciliation Support Analyst will supportassigned marketsin scope of relevant reconciliation process. The scope
might change as requirements change.

Leadership Responsibilities

Purpose of Role

BW Data Reconciliation Support Analyst provides seamless BAU support for serviced markets & stakeholders by validating data
integrity mainly between SAP ECC and BW, informing markets of differences found and owning and driving the resolution
process in a timely manner. Doing all the abovewhile adhering to the global processes& the control environment.

Prepare data reconciliation for supported markets and maintain the BW reconciliation framework.
Top 3-5 accountabilities

BAU process

Provide seamless business usual service to supported markets and areas


Managing the reconciliation process (preparing, validating, communicating)
Follow up reconciliation differences until resolution in a timely manner
Ensure support activities to markets are provided in a timely and accurate manner, including period-end tasks (following
the reconciliation timetable)
Manage ad-hoc reconciliations when requested by Line Manager
Serve as a back-up for other BW Data Reconciliation Support Analysts in the team

People

Comply with CARM requirements: work in line with the CARM requirements of the Reporting System (maintaining strict
adherence with established compliance processes)
Act as a real team-player when it comes to dealing other parties working with BW and SAP, especially Teammates and the
BW Operations & Reconciliation Team

Qualifications and experience required

Qualifications
University or College degree in finance / accounting or IS

Work experience
At least 3-4 years working experience in a multinational corporate environment with exposure to below areas:
o Preferably good Accounting & Reporting experience (on SAP and/or BW)
o Experience with shared services process activities
o Experience in working with integrated software system (SAP End-user knowledge is inevitable)
o Experience of working in a multi-national financial environment

Relevant skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, customer focused attitude
Good accounting and/or reconciliation knowledge
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, set priorities
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Active interest in different parts of the business / processes
Open personality and courage to challenge
Hard working personality, flexibility
Has customer focus to be able to build excellent relationships with relevant internal and external customers
Good business English, able to communicate effectively
Capable of working in a deadline driven environment.
