This company has made many efforts to improve its sustainability, like
removing toxic substances from the products. They are
trying to be an environmental
leader. It is an international
company that designs and produces
electronic devices, software and
online services. It was created by
Steve Jobs.

SUSTAINABLE PROCESSES
All the data centers of apple have being power by renewable energy since
2013

The company entered into a 25 years power purchase agreement with a

solar industry, in other words, it want to use solar energy.

Apple announcement that is going to apply in all their products new

renewable energy in china when they are manufacturing their
products

They want to use solar plants, hydroelectric plants and

biogas to avoid the excess of energy.

To use in their operations renewable energy in the moment they are

manufacturing the products and to preserve the planet to future
generation.

SUSTAINABLE PROCESSES (plans and programs)

MANUFACTURING : eliminate toxic substance like mercury for their products, to

use ecofriendly components.

TRANSPORTATION: transportation of products is more efficient because the
packaging is becoming smaller. Also they are trying to improve the fuel
efficient and reduce greenhouse gases.

RECYCLING: they attempt to use recyclable materials in

their products that are ecofriendly with the
environment. They create a robot named Liam to
dismantle the old apple devices to reuse their
parts.

PRODUCT USE: they incorporate energy saving

features into its products, so they use less energy.
