SCOPE OF WORKS 1 1 Complete supply and installation of control system including all necessary wirings,
conduits, accessories, actuators, control relays and termination from equipment to all
control devices, sensors and dry terminals and those installed shall be compatible with
equipment, panel and unit specified in Division 16 Electrical Works. OK

SCOPE OF WORKS 1 2 Electrical works associated with the fire service installations including fuse-switches,
switch fuses, busbar chambers and starters, conduits and wiring to the pump motors,
float switches for pump control and high / low level alarms for all fire service water tanks
and the like. Those installed shall be compatible with equipment, panel and unit OK
specified.

SCOPE OF WORKS 1 3 Liaison with local fire department company and government departments to obtain all WITCO's scope shall limit only
necessary certificates and approvals for Building Permit including the completion of all to provide engineering
forms, preparation of all shop drawings and other documents for necessary submission /technical documents

SCOPE OF WORKS 1 5 Preparation and submission of calculations to demonstrate the offered systems and/or By Others

SCOPE OF WORKS 1 6 Complete supply and installation of painting and labelling for all pipework, fittings, and
all equipment. Colours for painting shall be selected by Owners Representative and
different colours will be selected for different items and locations. The type of paint shall OK
be approved by the Owners Representative before application

SCOPE OF WORKS 1 7 The Sub-Contractor shall be responsible for the shop drawing preparation and
submission based on the latest architectural layout, structural framing plan, and interior
design layout. Would there be any adjustment requested in order to comply with the
specification, statutory requirement, and design intent, the Sub-Contractor shall revise OK
the drawing accordingly.

SCOPE OF WORKS 1 8 The Sub-Contractor shall supply and install all sleeves for pipe works and ductworks
passing thru walls or slabs and backfill the space between the sleeves and the pipes and
ducts with approved material. OK

SCOPE OF WORKS 1 9 The Sub-Contractor shall supply and install all approved fire resistant material (i.e. By others - These items are
sealant, fire wrap, and fire damper) for pipe works and ductworks passing thru fire for structures
compartment walls or slabs to be complied with local government regulations,
guidelines and ordinances.

1 10 Co-ordination works with other service.


The individual design services drawings from the consultants are for indicative purpose
and design intent only. The Sub-Contractor shall be responsible to provide coordinated
drawings for coordination and construction including but not limited to Revit MEPF,
combined services (MVAC) drawings, combined services (MEP) drawings, combined
builders work drawings (CBWB) and coordinated reflective ceiling plan with interior Sub- OK
Contractor before construction. No cost implication for any works shall be induced due
to coordination issue.
1 11 The Sub-Contractor shall provide coordination work with the Contractor for the access

1.1 Contractor to complete and submit the following equipment suppliers schedule below in Review cited sections
accordance with the submittal requirements outlined in sections 15010, 15016 and
15050.
SECTION 15010 1.1 SUMMARY
SECTION 15010 A This Section describes general requirements that apply to all parts of the work described Review cited sections

SECTION 15010 B The Sub-Contractor shall be familiar with the scope of Division 16. Where the division of Review cited sections

into consideration the space & access clearances required by the mechanical
equipments.
SECTION 15010 The Sub-Contractor shall provide a complete mechanical system in full working order. ???? MBV to draft comment
The Sub-Contractor shall examine the Documents at the time of the bid and notify the
Architect/Engineer in writing of any and all discrepancies. Unless a discrepancy is
notified during the bid period the Sub-Contractor shall provide a system in fully working
order including all equipment, accessories and attachments necessary for the complete
operation of the mechanical system whether shown in the documents or not.

SECTION 15010 1.2 DEFINITIONS


A Provide or Furnish and install means furnish and install the specified material,
equipment or other item and perform all required labor to make a finished and functional
installation.
B Furnish means purchase, store and deliver the specified material, equipment or other
item to the person or party indicated.
C Piping as used in the drawings and specifications means all pipes, fittings, nipples, OK
flanges, valves, unions, hangers and supports that are required for a complete functional
system.
D Ductwork as used in the drawings and specifications means all ductwork, fittings, This refers to HVAC - not our
dampers, air terminal devices, diffusers, registers, grilles, hangers and supports that are scope
required for a complete functional system.

E Exposed means visible to view after construction is complete.


F Contract Documents or Documents shall mean the latest version of all drawings and OK
specifications prepared by the Architect/Engineer and Architect.

G Authority or Authorities shall mean the building department, fire department, OK


inspectorate or other authority having legal jurisdiction relevant to the specific work
being described.

1.3 REGULATIONS, CODES, PERMITS AND FEES
A General OK
1. The installation shall be in accordance with all relevant local codes and regulations.
2. Codes, standards and specifications applicable to this work shall be the latest editions
in effect at the date of the proposal.
3. It is not the intent of Drawings and Specifications to repeat requirements of codes
except where necessary for completeness or clarity.
4. Nothing in the Drawings or Specifications shall be construed to permit Work not
conforming to applicable laws, ordinances, rules or regulations.
5. When the Documents conflict with regulatory or code requirements the most stringent
requirement shall apply.
6. Sub-Contractor shall be responsible for all law violations caused by the work under
this Division. Notify the Architect/Engineer in writing when a discrepancy occurs
between code requirements and work shown on drawings and resolve the discrepancy
before proceeding with work.
B Regulation/Code Compliance List Our scope limited to drwings &
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein pertaining to this installation, specifications provided by client
it shall be the Sub-Contractor's responsibility to ensure all the works is in strict
accordance with the following statutory obligations, regulations and specifications
together with any amendments made thereto. The standards, codes, and specifications
referenced below and elsewhere in this Specification shall be of the latest editions.
Similar codes or standards used in the home country of the manufacturer may, however,
be used if applicable, subject to the acceptance of the appropriate Philippines
Government Departments or other authorities. In such case it shall be the responsibility
of the manufacturer to prove to the satisfaction of the Engineer that such codes are
essentially equal to the one specified.
1. Mechanical System (Mechanical Ventilation and Air Conditioning)
a. The most recent editions of Codes of Practice Standards, Specifications together with
any amendments thereto such as:
PMC, NPCP, PEC, NBCP, ASHRAE, IMC, CIBSE, ARI, NFPA, AMCA, ISO, ICE, CEN, JIS, ANSI,
DIN, LPC, UL, SMACNA, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, FCP
b. Requirements of the local Fire Protection Authority especially that for the ventilating
and air conditioning control
c. Local water authority regulations
d. Local supply rules of the local power companies
e. Department of Environmental and Natural Resources
f. Any other local authorities having jurisdiction
g. Other standards specified in the other particular specifications
2. Fire Services
a. The most recent editions of Codes of Practice Standards, Specifications together with
any amendments thereto such as:
FCP, NBCP, IFC, UBC, PEC, NFPA, IEC, NEMA
b. Regulations, Code of Practice and standard for requirements laid down by local Fire
Authority, Water Authority, and any other local authorities having jurisdiction.
c. Other standards specified in the other particular specifications

C Inspections and Approvals OK


1. Provide the Owner, the Owners Representative and local Inspectors access to work at
all times.
2. All work under the scope of this project shall be inspected by local authorities. The
Sub-Contractor shall coordinate all inspections and provide all support and personnel
requested by the local authorities inspectors.
3. It shall be the Sub-Contractor's responsibility to obtain OSHA approval for the
installation of all equipment not already approved by OSHA in the Contract Documents.
This includes any substitutions to equipment with prior approval. The Sub-Contractor
shall submit all documents through the architect for OSHA approval. See also notes on
drawings.
4. All controlled inspections shall be the responsibility of the Sub-Contractor. The Sub-
Contractor shall coordinate all inspections and provide all support and personnel
necessary for successful completion.

D Permits and Fees By others


1. Make application and pay for all certificates of inspection, taxes and permits required
by the local authorities. Deliver to the Owner any and all certificates of inspections,
permits, and approvals which may be required by local authorities.
2. Pay all utility charges and charges from the local authorities for providing temporary
and permanent water, sewer, electricity, and gas services to the building facility.

1.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE


A. Factory and Field Testing OK
1. See each Section for the required tests and their procedures.
2. Provide the services of a qualified testing laboratory/agency to perform the specified
field tests.
3. Notify the Architect/Engineer at least 72 hours in advance of tests.
4. Provide all materials required for testing.
5. Test reports shall include:
a. Description of equipment tested.
b. Description of test procedures.
c. Test results.
d. Names and signatures of witnesses of tests.

1.5 PROJECT CONDITIONS


A Site Conditions Schedule Site Inspection
1. Prior to bidding visit the site and determine all existing conditions affecting work in
this Division and make adequate provision for all conditions in the bid.
2. Observe the conditions under which deliveries of materials and equipment shall be
made and under which such materials and equipment can be stored and make adequate
provision in the bid.
3. Anticipate means of installing equipment through available openings in structure and
make adequate provisions in the bid.

B Utilities Client to provide as built


1. The location and elevation of underground utilities shown in the Documents is as drawings & underground
exact as can be determined from available information and its accuracy is not utilities /structures if any.
guaranteed. The exact location and elevation of these services shall be verified prior to
excavation or installation of any portion of the work indicated and clearly indicated on a
shop drawing.
2. Any connections to or relocation of any existing utility line requiring temporary
shutdown of utility services which are in active use shall be scheduled and coordinated
with the utility companies and the Owner. If a shutdown of utilities can only be made
during weekends or off hours this will not be grounds for additional payment to the Sub-
Contractor. In no case shall the services be left disconnected at the end of a working day
or weekend unless authorized in writing. Any existing utility service damaged shall be
repaired to the satisfaction of the Architect/Engineer.
C Review of Construction: OK
1. Work may be reviewed at any time by Architect/Engineer.
2. Advise Architect/Engineer that work is ready for review at following times:
a. Prior to backfilling buried work.
b. Prior to concealment of work in walls and above ceilings.
c. When an area or section of work is ready for punch listing by the Architect/Engineer.
d. When all requirements of Contract have been completed.
3. Do not backfill or conceal work without Architect/Engineers consent.
4. Maintain at the job site a set of Specifications and Drawings for use by
Architect/Engineer.
5. Architect/Engineer's reviews will be periodic, depending upon nature of construction.
Architect/Engineer is not required to perform extensive or continuous inspection, is not
responsible for execution of Contract Documents by Sub-Contractor and is not
responsible for construction methods, sequences, or safety precautions.

1.6 SUBMITTALS
A This section describes general requirements for product submittals, and shop drawings.
For additional specific requirements refer to the individual sections of Division 15.

B Submittal Schedule OK
1. Within one month of the award of the contract, the Sub-Contractor shall prepare a
schedule of submittals to be made. All submittals shall be identified by description,
specification section and drawing number. The schedule shall indicate the manufacturer
to be proposed for each product and shall clearly indicate where a substitution will be
requested. The schedule shall indicate dates on which the submittals will be forwarded
to the Architect/Engineer.
2. The submittal schedule shall include a minimum of ten days for each
Architect/Engineer review and shall allow for a minimum of one re-submittal of each
item.
3. Failure to submit shop drawings in ample time for review shall not entitle the Sub-
Contractor to an extension on contract time.
4. The Sub-Contractor shall be responsible for equipment ordered and/or installed prior
to receipt of submittals returned bearing the Architect/Engineers stamp of "No
Exceptions Taken". Corrections or modifications to equipment as noted on returned
submittals shall be at the Sub-Contractor's sole expense without additional
compensation.
C 1. Provide submittals for all products and materials specified in Division 15. OK
2. Product submittals shall contain the following data as a minimum:
a. Manufacturer's drawings and performance data on all equipment.
b. Dimensioned drawings showing all required openings, supports and suspension
systems.
c. Equipment wiring diagrams.
d. Field installation diagrams.
e. Controls diagrams including diagrams and layout, software packages and control
wiring diagrams.
f. Compliance with all listings (UL, ETL, etc).
g. Acceptance certificates from inspecting agencies.
h. Manufacturers performance tests on equipment.
3. Submittals shall conform to the following:
a. Submit complete sets of product data only.
b. Submit pertinent catalog and performance data sheets only. Do not submit entire
catalogs.
c. Mark the exact equipment item and data on each sheet.
d. Each group of material shall be submitted in tabulated form with separate index
divider for each product/equipment by mechanical section designation.
e. Incomplete submittals and submittals not in compliance with the above requirements
shall be returned without action, and re-submittal shall be required.
f. Where current limiting devices are specified, submit technical data to substantiate
adequate protection of equipment downstream. Submittals shall not be reviewed
without supporting calculations and data.

D Shop Drawings
The following shop drawings shall be submitted:
a. Dimensioned drawings of all equipment rooms at 1:20 scale. Drawings shall include
exact equipment locations, bases, pads and inertia bases.
b. Color coordination drawings showing all Division 15 trades on the same drawing at
1:50 scale. Each trade should be in a separate color.
c. Sketches as requested by the Architect/Engineer during the submittal process to
demonstrate specific installation and coordination details.
d. All shop drawings shall be drawn in the latest version of AutoCAD or Revit 2014; or an
approved software of similar quality.

2 Drawings should provide the following information as a minimum: OK


a. All piping runs
b. All fittings
c. Elevations
d. Required openings in structural and architectural systems
e. Locations of supports and suspension systems.
f. Locations and critical dimensions of structural steel
g. Major electrical conduit and cable tray routes
h. Dimensions of actual equipment to be installed
i. Dimensioned code compliant equipment access including access door locations and
swings
j. All conflicts between trades should be resolved prior to submission to the
Architect/Engineer.
k. Locations of walls and partitions, doors, door swings, lighting and all other information
required to assure complete coordination among the various trades.

E Format of Submittals
1 The Sub-Contractor shall submit one hardcopy and one electronic copy in pdf format to OK
the Architect/Engineer for review.
2 The Architect/Engineer shall return one copy to the Contractor. The Contractor shall OK
make additional copies as needed for Sub-Contractors.

3 Each submittal shall include a 4x8 space for the Architect/Engineers review stamp and OK
general remarks.
Each submission shall be made under the Specifications Section Number it has been OK
specified under or drawing and detail number and reference number appearing on
Equipment Schedules.
F Architect/Engineers Electronic Files
1 Electronic files of the documents shall be available to the Sub-Contractor to assist in OK
preparing submittals subject to the following caveats:
a. Provision of electronic files does not release the Sub-Contractor from the requirements
of the Contract Documents regarding coordination, submittals or any other issues
outlined in the Contract Documents.
b. The official Contract Documents are the hard copy versions, not the electronic files.
c. The Sub-Contractor is responsible for all information extracted or inferred from the
electronic files.
d. Submission of the electronic file unchanged as a shop drawing will be rejected without
review.
e. These documents are provided only as a convenience to the Sub- Contractor. The
Architect/Engineer is under no obligation to provide updated drawings during the
Construction Phase.

2 The Architect/Engineer will make electronic files available at the time of the Construction OK
Set. Electronic files may be made available to the Sub-Contractor at other times by
mutual agreement.
G Architect/Engineers Review:
1 The Architect/Engineer shall review submittals for overall conformance with the design OK
intent described in the Documents. The Architect/Engineer shall not review the
documents for coordination.
2 The Architect/Engineers No Exception Taken stamp does not relieve the Sub- OK
Contractor of their responsibility to comply with all aspects of the Contract Documents
or prohibit the Architect/Engineer from making further comments at a later time.

3 Any corrections or modifications made by the Architect/Engineer shall be deemed OK


acceptable to the Sub-Contractor with no change in contract amount unless written
notice is received prior to the performance of any work affected by any corrections or
modifications.

1.7 MINOR DEVIATION


A The dimensions and ratings of equipment herein specified or indicated on the Drawings OK
are intended to establish the desired outlines and characteristics of such equipment.
Minor deviations may be permitted after review by the Architect/Engineer to allow
manufacturers specified to bid on their nearest standard equipment.

B Manufacturers catalog or model numbers and types mentioned in the Specifications or OK


indicated on the drawings are intended to be used as guides and shall not be interpreted
as taking precedence over specific ratings or duty called for or shown, which modify
stipulations in such catalogs. In all cases, the manufacturer shall verify the duty
specified with the particular characteristics of the equipment he intends to submit and
shall only submit items that comply with Specification requirements.

1.8 SUBSTITUTIONS
A For any piece of equipment or material the specified product is that shown on the OK
equipment schedules or the first named manufacturer in the applicable specification
section. All other manufacturers including others listed in the Specifications are
considered substitutions and must meet the requirements of this Section.

B For a substitution to be reviewed by the Architect/Engineer the following information OK


must be submitted:
1. Product cut sheets
2. A table comparing the pertinent features of the specified product and the proposed
substituted product including but not limited to material of construction, overall length,
width and height dimensions, space required for component replacement or
maintenance access, motor type, horsepower, voltage, phase service factor and noise
levels.
3. Shop drawings showing the proposed arrangement including all electrical and piping
connections
4. All necessary modifications of architectural, plumbing, electrical and mechanical work
required by the proposed products including but not limited to relocation of drains,
revised electrical circuits, relocation of roof or wall penetrations, and revised
foundations.

C Only one substitution proposal shall be made for each product or material unless OK
otherwise permitted by the Architect/Engineer. If the first proposed substitution is
rejected submit the specified product.

D Review of substitution information shall not relieve the Sub-Contractor of the OK


requirement to comply with the Contract Documents and to effect the necessary
rearrangement or construction of other Work.

E Any additional work required by other trades as a result of a substitution shall be the OK
Sub-Contractor responsibility.
F When a substitution is proposed, the Sub-Contractor shall be responsible to ensure that OK
the performance and quality of the scheduled or specified equipment is met whether it
requires additional accessories or not.

1.9 DELIVERY, STORAGE & HANDLING


A Delivery OK
1. Deliver equipment in its original package.
2. Protect equipment to prevent damage, ingress of dirt or contamination of any kind.
3. Perform all handling and shipping in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
4. All pipes shall be delivered to site with all ends and openings capped with minimum of
heavy gauge polythene sheeting taped all around to prevent ingress of moisture, dust,
debris, etc.

B Identification OK
1. Identify materials and equipment delivered to Site to permit checking against
approved materials list and reviewed Shop Drawings.

C Loss or Damage OK
1. The Sub-Contractor shall replace lost or damaged materials and equipment with new
at no increase in Contract Sum.
D Storage OK
1. All stock piled piping shall be placed on dunnage, and protected from weather and
from entry of foreign material.
2. All stored materials and equipment shall be carefully inspected prior to installation
and replaced with new material or equipment if found to be damaged or corroded.
3. Completely cover motors and other moving machinery to protect from dirt and water
during construction.
4. Cap all openings in pipe daily to protect against entry by foreign matter.

1.10 DEFECTIVE WORK


A Defective work, whether the result of poor workmanship, use of defective materials, OK
damage through carelessness, or other cause shall be removed within ten (10) days
after written notice is given by the Architect/Engineer and the work shall be re-executed
by the Sub-Contractor.

B The fact that the defects may have previously been overlooked by the OK
Architect/Engineer shall not constitute total or partial acceptance or grounds for
additional payment for corrective work.
1.11 COOPERATION BETWEEN TRADES
A General OK
1. Cooperate with all other Divisions performing work on this project as necessary to
achieve a complete neatly fitted installation for each condition. Consult the Drawings
and Specifications to determine nature and extent of work specified in other Divisions
which adjoins or attaches to the work of this Division. Confer with other Divisions at the
site to coordinate this work with theirs in view of job conditions to the end that
interferences may be eliminated and that maximum head room and clearance may be
obtained. In the event that interferences develop, the Architect/Engineer's decision will
be final as to which Division shall relocate its work and no additional compensation will
be allowed for the moving of piping, ductwork, conduit or equipment to clear such
interferences.
2. Provide templates, information and instructions to other divisions to properly locate
holes and openings to be cut or provide.
3. For Testing and Balancing of the system, ensure full co-ordination between the Sub-
Contractor and all other Trades to achieve access to all system components including
leaving wall/ceiling sections down for access.
4. Full co-ordination to ensure the system is commissioned in accordance with the
requirements of the contract documents.

B The Sub-Contractor shall be responsible for the coordination of the mechanical ducting OK
and piping distribution with the lighting, conduit, cable tray and structural members.

C Electrical work for mechanical equipment. Review cited sections


1. It is the Division 15 Sub-Contractor's responsibility to ensure the Division 16 Sub-
Contractor is aware of the electrical power and control requirements of all mechanical
equipment.
2. Electrical Work in this Division shall conform to requirements of Division 16.

1.12 TEMPORARY FACILITIES


A Provide connections to the water system and extend temporary water lines as required OK
with one valved outlet in the building. Assume responsibility for protection of the system
including freeze protection. Remove temporary service when no longer required.

1.13 PROVISIONS FOR LATER INSTALLATIONS
A Where any Mechanical work cannot be installed as the work progresses the Sub- OK
Contractor shall provide and arrange for the building in of boxes, sleeves, inserts,
fixtures or devices as necessary to permit installation of the omitted work during later
phases of construction. Arrange for and lay out any chases, holes, or other openings
which must be provided in masonry, concrete or other work.

B The Sub-Contractor shall be responsible for being aware of the nature and arrangement OK
of the materials and construction to which the work attaches or passes through.

1.14 MANUFACTURERS CHECKING AND TESTING


A All equipment shall be installed in strict accordance with manufacturer's instructions. OK

B Manufacturers agent shall supervise installation of their equipment to ensure that it is OK


correctly installed and in proper working order.

C Manufacturer's representative shall review the overall system design relative to the OK
proper application of his equipment in the particular system. He shall note conduit,
wiring, control, location, and other relevant relationships, and furnish appurtenances
necessary for satisfactory operation.

D Before final payment is issued, the manufacturer's representative shall submit to the OK
Owner's Representative, a signed statement certifying to their inspection and the
equipment is properly installed and ready for operation

1.15 RECORD DRAWINGS


A The Sub-Contractor shall keep a day-to-day record of the installed locations for all OK
equipment as listed below:
1. All piping concealed and/or exposed in walls, floors or underground.
2. All underground pipe lines inside the building.

B Underground utility services, both inside and outside of buildings, shall be dimensioned OK
from permanent structures or bench marks. Utility services outside buildings shall show
the depth of burial with reference to the finished ground floor elevation.

C Immediately upon commencing work on the project, obtain a set of blue line prints of OK
the contract drawings pertaining to this branch of work. This set of drawings shall be
kept on the project site at all times for use in recording "record" conditions.

D At the completion of the project obtain from the Architect/Engineer an electronic copy of OK
the Contract Drawings relating to the work. Amend the drawing files to record conditions
as outlined above to reflect the as built condition. Reference to RFIs or Change Orders
in lieu of drawing the exact change will not be acceptable.

E Submit one copy of the record drawings to the Architect/Engineer for approval. The OK
accuracy of record drawings shall be certified by the signature of the Sub-Contractor and
shall be stamped or otherwise identified as record drawings.

F Each trade shall submit record copies of their respective shop drawings as part of the OK
project closeout. These record copies shall indicate as-built conditions and shall show all
work installed by that trade. All elements shall be dimensioned from grid lines or bench
marks and all elevations shall be noted. Construction notes such as component number
or conflict notes shall be removed and the drawings shall clearly be noted in the title
block as being as-built drawings.

1.16 OPERATION & MAINTENANCE MANUALS


A Contents of Manuals OK provided cost is included
1. Startup & shutdown procedures including a step-by-step write-up of all major
equipment. When manufacturer's printed start-up, troubleshooting and shut- down
procedures are available, they shall be incorporated into the operating manual for
reference.
2. Operating instructions: for the efficient and safe operation of all equipment.
3. Equipment list of all major equipment as installed including model numbers,
capacities, and nameplate data.
4. Service instructions for all pieces of equipment including the following:
a. Recommended spare parts, including catalog number and the name, address and
telephone number of local suppliers or factory representative.
b. Lubrication and maintenance instructions for all equipment including all electric
motors.
c. Belt sizes, types and lengths.
5. Detailed list of all control set points and control and wiring diagrams and software.
6. Testing and Commissioning Sheets detailing all set points, balance figures of air,
steam and water systems.
7. Record drawings as described in the Record Drawings section of this specification.
Provide one hard copy and electronic files on a CD Rom/DVD.
8. Final shop drawings: Submit one hard copy bound by trade and electronic files on CD
Rom/DVD.
9. Valve charts organized on a room and sequence basis, detailing room, system and
valve numbers.
10. Manual damper charts organized on a room and system basis, detailing room system
and damper number.
11. Type written detailed description of sequence of operation of each system, with
charts and diagrams.
12. Provide control diagrams, for each air and hydronic system. Diagrams shall show
complete equipment, controls and model numbers marked to correspond to
identification on equipment.
13. Letters from manufacturers certifying their supervision of equipment installation and
start-up procedures.
14. Machinery vibration test reports.
15. Certificates of sterilization/chlorination of plumbing systems.
16. Test certificates.
B Submission OK
1. Submit preliminary copy of the manual to the Architect/Engineer at least six weeks
prior to the request for Final Inspection for a pre-check.
2. When the preliminary manual has been returned by a No Exceptions Taken stamp,
four manuals shall be submitted with all materials bound into volumes of standard 8-
1/2" x 11" size. Drawings shall be separately bound.
3. The manuals shall include the name of the Owner's Representative, Contractors and
Sub-Contractor.

C Training: Furnish the Owner with five 8-hour days of training/and instruction to the OK provide cost
Owner's designated personnel. The training and instruction sessions shall be conducted
at the Owner's convenience and shall be video recorded.

1.17 FINAL INSPECTION


A The Sub-Contractor shall arrange for all the local authorities to make final inspections
and correct all defects identified.
B Prior to substantial completion the Sub-Contractor shall verify that the work is complete OK
and that all incidental defects identified by the Architect/Engineer during construction
have been corrected.

C At substantial completion the Sub-Contractor shall offer the system to the OK


Architect/Engineer for final inspection.
D Correct all items on the Architect/Engineers inspection report or punch list. Make the OK
correction, initial and date each item on the report after corrections have been
completed.
E Verify that all defective work has been corrected before offering the system for re- OK
inspection.
1.18 PROJECT CLOSE OUT
A Prior to hand over to the Owner complete the following: Ok -except item 1
1. Obtain all necessary approvals from all relevant local authorities in writing.
2. Submit record drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and similar
final record information.
3. Deliver tools, spare parts, extra stocks of materials, and similar physical items to the
Owner.
4. Complete all training requirements for Owners staff.

PART 2 - PRODUCTS
2.1 MATERIALS
A All materials shall be new, clean, undamaged and free of corrosion at the time of OK
handover to the Owner. Any damaged materials or equipment shall be replaced with
new.
B All materials shall be approved for use by local authorities. OK
C Material specified to meet local approved listing agency or trade standards shall include OK
manufacturer's or vendor's certification of conformance.

D No materials or products shall be provided which are not approved for use in the City OK
where the project is located.
2.2 FLAME SPREAD & SMOKE DEVELOPED PROPERTIES OF MATERIALS
A Materials and adhesives used throughout the mechanical systems shall have a flame OK -take note
spread rating not over 25 without evidence of continued combustion and with a smoke
developed rating not higher than 50.

B Flame Spread Rating and "Smoke Developed Rating" shall be as determined by the OK -take note
"method of test of surface burning characteristics of building materials, NFPA no. 244,
ASTM E84, Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc., Standard." Such materials are listed in the
Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc., "Building Materials List" under the heading "Hazard
Classification (Fire)."

2.3 TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT


A Furnish all tools and equipment necessary for the proper installation, protection and OK
maintenance of the work.
B Furnish to Owner the following: OK
1. One set of any special tools required to operate, adjust, dismantle or repair any
equipment of this Division. Special Tools means those not normally found in
possession of mechanics or maintenance personnel.
2. One pressure grease gun for each type of grease required, complete with adaptors to
fit all lubricating fittings on equipment.

SECTION 15190 FUEL OIL SYSTEM


1.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENT
