Are you a senior secondary student with a brain for mathematics? Here is an offer for
you to prove your skills and win medals at the 54th international Maths Olympiad to be
held in July, 2013 in Colombia.

The National Board of Higher Mathematics (NBHM) will conduct Indian National
MathematicalOlympiad(INMO)onFebruary3,2013.

Our region sends a team of 30 students to appear in the INMO test. The selection of these

studentsisdoneintwotiresbyascreeningtestfollowingbyRegionalMathematicalOlympiadtest .
The first round will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2012, from 2:00 pm to
5:00pm.

Eligibility: The competition is open to students of class XI and XII (At every stage of selection,
exceptatthetimeofselectionofthenationalteam,notmorethan20%ofthetotalselectedstudents
willbefromClassXIItomakesuremorestudentsareavailableforatleasttwoyearsforthenational
team,astheInternationalMathsOlympiadisopenonlyforprecollegestudents.)Somemeritorious
studentsofClassXmayalsoappearinthetest.

Howtoapply: There will be an admission fee of Rs 100/per applicant, which will entitle the
candidates to appear in the first and subsequent rounds, for which they qualify. The admission fee
maybe paidtothecentrecoordinatorthrough money order or incashalongwiththeapplication.
The intending participant should preferably apply through the principal of their schoolcollege
(howeverdirectapplicationswithaproofofbeingstudentoftheclassmentionedwillbeaccepted)by
September7th,2012alongwithonepassportsizephotograph.
