BPM PROCESS

Audience The audience for this course is application developers responsible for automating business
processes and developers who want to enable BPM in their OpenEdge applications

Description The course teaches you how to develop, publish, and test business processes using Progress
Developer Studio for OpenEdge and Progress OpenEdge Business Process Server.

First, you will learn about the tasks involved in automating a business process. You will also
learn how to use the BPM Design perspective of Developer Studio to import, deploy, and test
a business process. Then, you will learn how to automate an existing business process by
configuring workstep properties and using subprocesses.

Next, you will learn how to enable communication between a business process and an ABL
application using OpenEdge adapters. Finally, you will learn how to customize forms using the
Form Editor in Developer Studio and define BPM Webflows.

This course teaches you also how to enable business process management (BPM) in a Progress
OpenEdge application in order to move the workflow management to OpenEdge BPM.

This course is also available online with a subscription to the Progress Education Community.
