WORK ETHICS

Work ethics is a belief in moral benefit and importance of work and

its inherent ability to strengthen character. Its about making choices that
may not always feel good or seem like they benefit you but are the
right choices to make. They are the choices that are examples of model
citizens and examples of the golden rules. We've all heard the golden
rules: Don't hurt, don't steal, don't lie, or one of the most famous: Do
unto others as you would have done to you. These are not just catchy
ph Wrases; these are words of wisdom that any productive member of
society should strive to live by.

Mr Charles Osuji (dad) worked at Oakland Community Project. He is

an Accountant and has worked there for four years plus. His definition
of work ethics is the acceptable way or standard of interacting in the
work environment. His work ethics is good because he believes is the
right thing to do. What he could do to improve his work ethics is to
exercise an open mind of learning and take instructions from superiors.
Currently his work ethics for students graduating high school is bad
because a good number of recent graduate lack the understanding of
the work environment and what it represent.

Mr Joseph Jacob worked in Siba Associate as an Audit Assistant for

three years. His definition of work ethics is your dedication work. His
work ethics are good because of his reliability to be punctual and the
proper communication he has with his co-workers. He could improve his
work ethics by having a sense of teamwork. His work ethics for
students graduating high school is partial (good and bad) because not
all student lack the understanding of work environment while some do.

Miss Sarah Meyer worked in Cisco Food as a Marketing Manager for

seven years. Her definition of work ethics is a belief in work as a moral
good. Her work ethics are good because she has a sense responsibility
and is committed to her work. She doesnt have anything in mind to
improve her work ethics but what she can do is to make her colleagues
feel comfortable and work harder. Her opinion on the work ethics for
students graduating high school is bad because majority of high school
graduate do not know what it means to have a job or work.

Mrs Lillian Heller worked in Nigerian Security Printing and Minting

PLC. She worked there as a Procurement Officer and has worked there
for sixteen years. Her definition of work ethics is to abide to the policy
of the company. She thinks her work ethics are good because they
enable teamwork which she abides to. In order to improve her work
ethics she has to adhere to the policy of the company. She believes the
work ethics of students graduating from high school are fair because you
cant who really abides to what is needed in their place of work.

Mary Pearson is in high school at grade eleven and works at

starbucks for a year and three months. Her definition of work ethics is
a set of value centered at the importance of doing of the work. She
believes her work ethics is good because she dress appropriately and
serve the customers nicely. She believes the work ethics of some
students graduating high is bad because some of them tend to flirt with
their customers.

My definition of work ethics is a value based on hard work and

diligence. I believe the work ethics of students my age are bad because
they do not take responsibility.

For someone to have a strong work ethics, he or she has to be

diligence, have a sense of responsibility and teamwork, be discipline and
have integrity. To have an unethical behaviour at your workplace means
failure to honor commitment, deliberate deceptions and unlawful conduct.
