RetailIntegratorsKit (RIK) offers a powerful platform to integrate software in Bizerba PC scales. Regardless of whether
it is industry solutions with or without scale applications or special customer software. RIK provides all the functions
needed to configure, calibrate or test hardware components such as scales, printers or displays. When integrating his
software, the RIK partner can build upon a fully run-capable and approved scale solution. Already in the standard
version this platform offers metrologically approved display windows for customer and operator displays with different
display versions. Moreover, functions to retrieve all metrology parameters via the scale display, tare or set the scale to
zero are also provided. The provision of scale functions, labels or receipt printing is based on the ARTS standard
UPOS 1.14 which is valid worldwide.

Customer-specific development
RIK fulfils requirements for software downloads according to Welmec 2.3. The partner software also covers these
requirements through an authentication procedure. This also permits scale applications,such as price labeling or self-
service functions. RIK simplifies software updates of the partner software which is subject to metrological approval
thus eliminating the need of specifying the metrological software version on the type plate.
