Best wishes on your retirement, Mrs. Tillery! Thank you for your 17 years of service.
As we count down our final days of the 2016-17 school year, we thank God for all the
blessings of the year and look forward to the summer! Bishop Kelley will once again as-
sign summer work. Studies show that doing even just a few minutes of work weekly makes
a difference in preventing the summer slump. The best way is to schedule a work time.
This is a great time to memorize or brush up on basic math facts. There are many apps
available to make learning fun! Dont forget the library also has their summer reading pro-
gram.
Planning is already happening for next school year. As a staff, we are excited to announce
Bishop Kelley will focus on Differentiated Instruction in Math and Reading with more tech-
nology integration. Differentiated Instruction is when a teacher actively plans lessons to
meet the individual needs of learners at their ability level. While Differentiation has been
happening for years in individual classrooms it will now be a school wide focus. This
change is more feasible than ever due to the smaller class sizes. Keeping this in mind,
the staff will be working as a team to best meet the needs of the students. Your child/
children will still have a homeroom teacher but they may also have other teachers. We are
looking at the best options for implementation and will have details available later this
month or early July. We are looking forward to the 2017-18 school year and all it has to of-
fer!

Dear Parents,
UNIFORM EXCHANGE will be on Tuesday, June 6th from 8:30-9:00 a.m. & 3:00-3:35 p.m. in the gym.
Please bring your uniforms to school that morning and pick up your unsold items after the sale. Any items,
not picked up at the end of the day, will become the property of the school. (PLEASE SEND IN UNI-
FORM ITEMS ONLY!)
Each item must be clearly identified by attaching a small slip of paper, listing your name, size of item
and price as listed below. We cannot be responsible for lost or missing items, if you do not mark every
item. Clothing that has holes, stains or in bad condition will not be put out.
Please fill in your inventory on the Inventory Form below and send in with the clothes. Without it, we
have no way of knowing whom to return the money and unsold uniforms. Keep a record at home of what
you have sent in to the school.
