RE: Meeting Room Design for Space 4 Art Permanent Housing Project

Dear Mr. Bob Leathers,

Team 20/20 Vision is pleased to present this proposal for consideration and your review for the
Meeting room . We would like thank you for taking your time reading our proposal.

During the last few months, Team 20/20 Vision has been working hard on making our clients happy. We
first started off by choosing what section of the building we wanted to work on. After we agreed on our
the meeting room, we brainstormed ideas of what we wanted in the meeting room, and a basic idea of
what factors we wanted. After, we went to Space 4 Art to interview artists to see what elements they
wanted in a meeting room. All the groups were assigned an artist to work with, and we got our artist
Curtis. After the interview, we started designing the meeting room and added the factors that Curtis liked,
and the ones that we found to be unique and useful.

The purpose for the meeting room is to provide a quiet space to work in, an inspirational place for the
artists, and to have a large room for meetings and conferences. The artists can use this room to have a
private work space. With a busy environment, they cant work as well as they could if they were to have a
private space. The meeting room can also inspire the artists to create more art. Curtis, our artist, has a
daughter, and he says that she often inspires him. We decided to create the secret room so he can have his
daughter around while he works, but not be much of a distraction.

We plan on funding all of the community spaces our team designs though a fundraiser, grant entry and on
campus activities to raise money. The fundraiser will be on Sat, Jan 21st at Space 4 art where we will
have items to raffle auction. We also plan on applying for Greenworks Grant. The school activities will be
small fundraising opportunities throughout the month of Jan.

We appreciate the opportunity we have been given to work with you and Space 4 Art and look forward to
hearing your feedback on our current design. Please feel free to email at

Thank you,

Mission statement
We are a team 20/20 vision comprised of 52 students from High tech high Chula vista we
complete professional work and believe we can keep art in san diego by creating community
spaces like amphitheaters, stages and galleries we can support artists to create art and keep it
alive in our community.

Overview and Goals

The meeting room is a rectangular 26x16 ft. room that includes a deck that is 16x16 ft. and faces
the ocean. One main factor in our space is a secret room for storage, or if an artists had children,
the space could be used into a small room for children to stay in. With our deck, we included two
large windows that are on the wall that connects to the deck to allow natural light into the room.
The purpose of the meeting room is to provide a private work space, as well as a quiet room for
inspiration and finally, it will be used for people to come together for meetings.

Our meeting room can be used as the perfect private space to work in. As an artist, they look for
quiet spaces to work in, since having noises and distractions can make the artist unfocused. The
meeting room provides plenty of space to work in, and its private for as long as they need it, or
until the next person needs to use it. There is also a secret room for their children to stay in if
they don't want them to distract them.

It can also be used as inspiration because they could sit out in the deck and look out to the view.
While we were interviewing Curtis he mentioned that his daughter inspires him to create. That's
the main focus of the secret room so that the children can create and the artist could get inspired
by them.

Holding meetings are an important part of a community because if there is any problem they can
come together and discuss about the problem. The meeting room is not just for the residents
living there it can also be for people who don't have a place to hold conferences for any cause.

How this space is going to be maintained is by having a signup sheet and the artist or person who
needs it can sign up and put from what time to what time they need it. After there done using
they have a do a small clean up.

Funding
On Saturday January 21, 2020 Vision will be hosting a fundraiser at Space 4 Art from 6pm-9pm.
At this fundraiser we will be having silent auctions, entertainment and raffling items. We hope to
raise the money that we need and we hope you will come and join us.

Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation (LCEF) knows how hard we work for your kids
and your community and is dedicated to helping your parent-teacher group achieve even more
for your school. Toolbox for Education Grant builds on our already impressive parent group
success with Lowe's. Now in its 11th year of helping build better schools and communities, the
Lowe's Toolbox for Education program has provided over $49 million to more than 11,000

schools across the country. Lowe's will donate up to $5 million to K-12 public/charter schools
and to parent teacher groups - at as many as 1,000 different public schools per school year. The
reason why we are applying for this grant is because they like helping groups who are trying to
improve our communities and that's what we are doing for the artist.

The creative that my group came up with was either pieing or dunking teachers. We think this
would be a good idea because students would actually want to see their teachers getting pied or
dunked. What we were thinking was getting one teacher from each grade and the grade that
raised the more money could win a prize.
