The Aquilius Timeline

1048- Tulian Aquilius is the first Quincy of the family, the first of his line to make the
Aquilius name known. The Aquilius are one of the first Quincy families of Rome,
bearing the Sagittarian crest from generation to generation.
1257- The Aquilius line is almost entirely pure blooded, but never fully adheres to
the restriction of Quincy inbreeding.
1309- The Aquilius becomes a matrilineal Quincy clan, and gain minor political
power in Rome after religious turmoil and upheavals, a time of prosperity ensues.
1377- Major religious influences return to Rome. As a result, the family keeps a
much lower profile in their own lands, losing much influence, while continuing their
duties elsewhere.
1527- The sack of Rome. What little holdings they had left in the city are now gone,
the Aquilius roman tradition is no longer established, and is only carried on in spirit.
A fair portion of the family spreads across Spain. The Sagittarius crest is no longer
the sacred symbol of the Aquilius.
1650- A majority of the Aquilius family is massacred by Hollows in an isolated event.
Details of this gathering are largely a mystery, and many Quincy Clans have their
own suspicion of occurred. An Aquilius legend grew from this is the form of a relic.
Fluch Lorgar: an axe that had been wielded by an impure Aquilius, and slain 100 of
the Hollows during the massacre. The Aquilius now choose to cherish their
uncommon impure offspring, while also beginning a long tradition of melee warriors.
1798- The French occupation of Rome begins. What little of the family remains,
begins entwining with certain French Quincy traditions. These Quincy return to
patriarchal rule.
1815- The French occupation ends. The Firstborn of the family forsakes all human
spiritual beliefs, establishing themselves as firm supporters of the Quincy Order.
Aquilius Quincy that remained in Rome for the last 17 years are denounced and
most of the French tradition is purged, patriarchal rule is abolished. The eagle
becomes the symbol of the Aquilius, giving them a face to other Quincy after 300
years without one.
1870- Italy retakes Rome in just two days, which is partially in thanks to inside
Aquilius agents and Quincy canons siding with the Italians. Aquilius roman tradition
is reclaimed within Rome.
1914- The Aquilius family remains united and in Rome throughout the Great War.
This represents the period of weakest ties with the Quincy Order and the rest of the
Quincy race.
1939- Learning from the previous war, Matron Vita makes the bold decision to split
the family. The sons remain in Rome to defend the city, while the daughters are
devoted to the Quincy Order and their actions during the war. Despite losing
children of both genders, it is considered successful and becomes a shining example
for modern Aquilius. Matron Vita is the only survivor of her siblings.
1950- Vita gives birth to Malitia, her only child, continuing and beginning the
modern Aquilius family tree.
1969- Malitia disposes of her own mother to gain matron hood of the Aquilius after
Vita begins moving the Aquilius back towards their isolationist tendencies and away
from the Quincy Order. This is widely welcomed by the rest of the Aquilius.
1979- Brisa, eldest daughter of Malitia, is born. This is the beginning of a child
bearing era within the Aquilius, resulting in four other children over the next five
years, all but one (Valeria) of these are sired by her current husband, Romulus.
2000- The most recent Aquilius is born, the second bastard from Malitias previous
husband, Varus. He is widely looked down upon, especially after the death of the
eldest son: Naevius, later in the same year.
