BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) is the largest provider of


broadband services, fixed telephony in India with more than 60%
market share. In that 60% of users, you might be the one who is
looking for the information. To know How to get BSNL
Broadband usage using SMS and BSNLs Self-care portal. There
are many ways to track your Broadband usage here we will list
all the methods. You can choose which way you want as per your
convenience. The best and easiest way from my side is Checking
usage through SMS. Alternatively, by installing software.
It is better to keep track of your BSNL broadband usage in every
way to avoid unnecessary additional amount and it will also
ensure you nobody is making unauthorized usage of your
broadband account. These are the 3 Ways of checking BSNL
Broadband usage.

1. Receiving SMS alerts about


usage in Mobile.
This is the easiest way to know the usage of BSNL Broadband.
For activating this SMS alerts you just need to send an SMS

STEP1: First, You need to register your landline number by


sending an SMS
Send SMS as REG<Space><STD CODE><LANDLINE
NUMBER> to +919448077777 for NON BSNL users.
Alternatively, 52295 for BSNL users.
Ex: REG 08X75-31XX84

STEP2: For checking broadband usage, send an SMS


BBU<space><STD CODE><LAND LINE NUMBER> to
+919448077777 for Non BSNL Users or 52295 for BSNL users.
Ex: BBU 08X75-31XX84
2. Installing a software for
checking usage.
This is another simple way of tracking the usage; it is actually
performed by you if you are not believed in the usage statistics
given by BSNL. Here we are going to install a continuous data
usage tracking software which will collects how much data you
are actually using daily wise, month wise, hour wise and also you
can check the speed of your BSNL broadband. There are many
softwares out there for tracking data usage we will prefer the
one, which is best having less memory and portable.

STEP 1: Download the Networx Software by soft perfect from


this link Or else you can directly download from below links.

STEP 2: after installing, add a widget in task bar as shown in


below figure for continuously track data speed and usage for
current time. Moreover, right click on the Networx Icon to see
graph.
3. Usage checking through Online
in BSNL Self-care Portal.

This is kind of a long process for getting that data usage info but
it is perfect compared to the second way. Things you need for
this process is your recent BSNL broadband bill because you will
get to know some information like Customer ID, Landline
number. After all, follow this fully illustrated systematic guide to
check your BSNL usage by BSNL portal login.

STEP1: Get to know your BSNL broadband Customer ID/Unique


ID and BB user ID
STEP2: Go to the below links as per your regions where you
activated your broadband.

Regions(Zones)

South Zone(Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamilnadu)

North Zone (Haryana, Punjab, UP(West), UP(East), Himachal Pradesh, Jammu

& Kashmir)

West Zone (Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan )

East Zone (Kolkata, Orissa, Bihar, West Bengal, Andaman Nicobar, Assam,

Jharkhand, North East )

STEP3: After visiting your respective region BSNL portal click on


User Registration (For Existing BSNL Customers)
STEP4: Complete the form by providing the relevant information
and after completion click next (Most of the fields are mandatory
to enter data)

STEP5: In the next step, you will be redirected to agree terms


and conditions page. Press agree and then you will see BSNL
Portal dashboard.

Select SERVICES in Dashboard and go to MY SERVICES


Scroll down a little you will find Check My Broadband
Unbilled Usage Details
Select your phone number, Date and range(Current month)
Then click GO!

STEP6:Now you will see the BSNL broadband usage actually this
data used will be shown in MB divide it by 1024 to get values in
GB

The message technique don't work for me.....I registered
on selfcare but after registration it is showing someone
else's details.....I rechecked it but its the same.....software
just counts...don't tells the usage used before installing
software.....

The SMS alerts are a must IMO. Makes it super easy to


track your usage. Which I might add it sucks that I have to
track it at all, but you know.
