Learning Outcome 1
The learner will: Understand the role of research methods, within the context of management, marketing and business.
The learner will: Be able to compare and contrast research methodologies that relate to management, business and marketing
research.
Learning Outcome 3
The learner will: Be able to develop research designs from quantitative and qualitative perspectives.
The learner will: Be able to set research objectives and plan a research project.
Learning Outcome 5
The learner will: Understand management, business and marketing theory and the relevant literature from varied sources that
contribute to the research project.
The learner will: Be able to determine a specific marketing related research issue, set research objectives, plan and carry out a
research project, critically analyse and evaluate evidence, and report the findings and outcomes.
Learning Outcome 7
The learner will: Know how to design the data collection surveys from quantitative and qualitative perspectives, evaluate the
contrasting research methodologies and determine the best approaches to obtain the required data.
The learner will: Be able to write up the results of the project as a business consultancy report.
Assessment:
Written assignment of 3500 words, plus or minus 10% (unless otherwise stated).
All learning outcomes will be assessed.
