Introduction.

Radix Fried Chicken Sdn Bhd (RFC), is a subsidiary company of HPA (Herba Penawar
Al-Wahida) Industries Sdn Bhd. This franchise company was founded by Mr Hj Ismail
Bin Hj Ahmad the Managing Director of the HPA. Besides RFC, HPA was famous for
their product, Kopi Radix and various other products. RFC started their operation on 1st
June 2008 at Lagenda Heights, Sungai Petani,Kedah. This company is 100% owned by
Muslim Bumiputra and their restaurants concept are based on Islamic Shariah compliant
with three main factors Health, Organic and Kosher.

Since RFC was Islamic compliant, all requirements of RFC include quality monitoring of
its storage of materials as well as the cleanliness and halal quality. The aspects of
operations and management of RFC apply the ethical principal of Islamic workers such
as Muslim discipline and culture. Other than that, the workers also need to practice of
praying every day before the working hours.

Beginning idea was come out after the disclosure in the media in respect of quality of
production of raw material especially chicken meat doubts feel to use the starting
material in feed the conventional. On these awareness and Halal product responsibility,
Mr Hj Ismail has met experience partner to discuss with entrusting Dr Saari from UPM to
organize and develop large scale farming with organic system.
