Chapter
would
like
to
apologize
for
any
discomfort
caused
by
our
end-of-the-year
costume
photograph.
We
as
a
Fraternity
take
full
responsibility
for
the
lack
of
regard
taken
when
dressing
up
for
this
photograph.
Individuals
have
expressed
concern
regarding
items
of
clothing
and
props
seen
in
the
photograph.
We
would
like
to
apologize
if
our
photo
has
been
misinterpreted
as
an
attack
or
discriminative
action.
Some
representations
depicted
in
the
photograph
were
unacceptable
because
it
appropriated
cultural
and
ethnic
identities
of
our
peers.
Although
that
was
not
our
intention,
we
understand
how
this
image
has
negatively
impacted
many
students
and
people
in
the
community.
We
would
also
like
to
assure
everyone
that
no
city
or
state
laws
were
violated
in
regards
to
the
weapons
and
firearms
seen
in
the
photograph.
We
have
contacted
all
sites
that
have
posted
the
photograph
for
removal
and
are
working
to
ensure
our
values
are
aligned
with
how
we
are
representing
ourselves
and
Alpha
Gamma
Rho.
The
tradition
of
our
end-of-year
photo,
will
not
appropriate
cultures
in
the
future.
We
respect
the
diversity
that
exists
in
our
chapter
and
at
Cal
Poly
and
will
be
more
thoughtful
in
all
that
we
do
moving
forward
and
how
that
can
impact
others.
We
will
work
with
campus
partners
to
ensure
educational
and
developmental
opportunities
are
provided
to
our
members
around
social
justice,
diversity
and
inclusion.
We
sincerely
apologize
for
any
unintentional
harm
that
has
arisen
and
will
continue
to
improve
all
chapter
operations.
