Souls he must learn to master this power in order to save his friends and
beloved Miss Peregrine. Were you surprised by Jacobs lack of confidence in
himself? How well do you think he handled the pressure he was under?

2. At the beginning of Library of Souls, Jacob, Emma, and Addison find


themselves in present-day London. This is the first time Emma is
encountering the modern world. What do you think it must have been like for
her to encounter the London Underground and a comic con?

3. In Hollow City the wights posed as Nazi soldiers, and in Library of Souls they
pose as police officers. What do you think of this pattern of wights portraying

surprised to learn that Miss Peregrine has another brother?

7. Bentham reveals that Jacob is the key to Cauls evil plan. Did this surprise
you? Why do you think Caul kidnapped Miss Peregrine, if Jacob was indeed
the key all along?

8. How did you react when you finally learned what the library of souls was?
How did it differ from what you imagined?

9. In the library of souls we learn that Bentham is not who he originally seemed
to be. In the end, Miss Peregrine has to make a difficult decision to protect the
peculiars. What was your reaction to her actions against her brothers?

10. Library of Souls is the end of Jacobs story arc in the Peculiar Children series.
