The masculine. He is our father. Our son.
Our brother. You may experience him as a
brave warrior and an ambitious leader. And
if you look, you will also find him as a lost
soul on a lonely city street corner. We praise
men for being strong, hard-working and
successful. He is told not to cry. He is told
not to reach out for comfort or reassurance.
He is told not to ask for help or to allow
himself to be seen as unsure. He is told
not to tremble or shrink from danger. He
is even told not to sing for joy. When he
manages to climb up on the pedestal of
